    SJC St. Louis Ruling Questions

Again, Horus and Silent Swordsman are unaffected by Spell Card Effects, but NOT Cost. If Gravekeeper's Servant was a Cost, the controller would still have to pay the Cost of sending a Card. If you can't send any cards from your Deck [Gravekeeper's Servant], then chances are you are going to...

    SJC St. Louis Ruling Questions

Have you tried actually READING Toll? It's right in the effect that you have a Cost Payment of 500 per attack. That is an EFFECT, but even though it counts as a Cost. If you activate Skill Drain, none of the monster's you mentioned would have to pay or Tribute a Monster to attack. Cost can't...

    SJC St. Louis Ruling Questions

It's not a cost. It's part of Gravekeeper's Servant's effect. If it were a cost, you would have to pay it regardless of whether you have Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 or Silent Swordsman LV5 on the field, but obviously, neither card is affected.

    SJC St. Louis Ruling Questions

Only talking about Gravekeeper's Servant. But the fact remains that a Spell or Trap Card Activation (not effect) that has a Cost involved, certainly cannot be activated if it cannot be sent to that location.

    SJC St. Louis Ruling Questions

Also, Gravekeeper's Servant isn't a Cost. It's part of the effect, so sending a card to the Graveyard, and it being removed from play doesnt prevent the attack from being carried out.

To save these forums .. [E-Hero]

Either you are just using the wrong word, or you still don't understand how to use Hex Subs. You cannot "Fusion Summon" a Cyber Twin or End Dragon with a Fusion Sub. You can only use the effect of Hex to "Special Summon" either Fusion.

Morphing Jar and no cards on deck

Since both players must draw 5 cards, either player having less than 5 cards remaining would cause that player to lose, and if both have less than 5, they both simultaneously lose and it would be considered a Drawn Game.

    DMOC and Relinquished

Of course those cards are considered Continuous because they dont require anything to "trigger" their effects. It states in their card text that all cards (or Monsters Only) will be removed from play. DMoC only removes cards that it destroys in Battle, and will only remove himself when he is...

I'm still trying to figure out how you came to the conclusion that that part of his effect is continuous....

    DMOC and Relinquished

As soon as you pick up the face-up Dark Magician of Chaos to send him to the Graveyard, his effect removes him from play. It has the same activation timing as Sangan, although it must be face-up, where as Sangan doesnt care.

    DMOC and Relinquished

Excerpt Quoted from the Judge List... Dark Magician of Chaos When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can SELECT AND add 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. A monster that is destroyed by this monster as a result of battle is removed from play instead of...

the puppet magic of dark ruler

Normally (but not all the time), if a monster is removed from the field, it would be part of a Cost, but in this case, it is part of the effect, and even though Token's cannot be removed from play (they just "cease to exist"), they can still be used for The Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler.

STON-EN068 Aegis of Gaia Continuous Trap Text Gain 3000 Life Points. If this face-up card is removed from the field, lose 3000 Life Points. Got this today. All I am missing from the actual "Original" STON is Reign-Beaux, and this after buying 2 Boxes.... Although, I could always...

    Pulling the Rug's Errata

That was my feeling as well, since the summoned monster requires you to state that you are going to use the effect after a successful summon, rather than it being a "trigger" that occurs from the summon.

    Pulling the Rug's Errata

That's like trying to understand why they ruled Ancient Gear Engineer the way they did, and Chainsaw Insect the way it is. I understand where all of you are coming from, but if the card is Errata'd (Barely a week after release), there is no telling what it can actually do (as there is already...

    Pulling the Rug's Errata

Maybe I'm not getting the new errata, but When Zaborg is summoned, his effect activates. Des Calibur Knight MUST be Tributed when a Effect Monster on the field activates its effect. Pulling the Rug states that when a Effect Monster is Normal Summoned and a effect activates, negate the...

    Pulling the Rug's Errata

You're obviously misunderstanding the Errata for Pulling the Rug. It would be able to negate and destroy Des Calibur Knight because he would be Triggering his effect when a monster like Zaborg is Tribute Summoned.
