If you have vilepawn archfiend on the fiend and another archfiend out thats not vilepawn, if you equip the other with raregold armor does that create a lock? i need to know for my archfiend deck i'm making

If you bring a monster back with archfiend's roar can you use gift of matyr on it. Archfiend's roar states that you can't tribute the monster you brought back and gift of matyr simply says send a monster to the graveyard. i just wasn't sure wether or not gift could be considered a tribute.

i picked mine because dark crisis is my favorite set and zorc was the first rare i pulled from it. he's also my favorite card. i mean he's the dark master.
