John Danker is trustworthy. I'm sure that others here can vouch for his reputation.

Stupid basic Swords of Revealing Light question

Nope, no errata yet. In the TCG, they can only use "Gladiator Beast" monsters. What's so unclear about "Dark World Grimoire"? You can only activate its effect in response to the discard.

    The Orichalcos Conspiracy

*digs* Apparently it took place at GenCon Indy, two (maybe three) years ago: http://www.pojo.biz/board//threads/582186 Wasn't Kenjiblade an UDE (a UDE?) employee at one point? He confirms it here: http://www.pojo.biz/board//threads/685944

    Konami judge test?

The test is only being given out in person, at official tournaments like SJC. There's no word about an online test yet. Luckily, the Konami forums are working again! http://www.konami.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=16&page=1

Stupid basic Swords of Revealing Light question

The old UDE errata has been archived here: http://www.geocities.com/judgeresources/errata.htm Konami just released some errata for some more recent cards, which can be viewed here: http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/gameplay/

    Konami judge test?

The Konami forums are down for everyone, unfortunately.

Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

Right, it's a cost. To my knowledge, there are currently no plans for a TCG release.

i need help with a problem

Suddenly I feel like I'm doing a good cop/bad cop thing, we me being serious and Maruno bringing in Monty Python.... You know Alcoholics Anonymous? One of the reasons they're so successful is because of the "anonymous" part. Many people find it much easier to deal with problems when you're...

i need help with a problem

First, let me say that I'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist or anything. I just have some personal experience in mental illness (which is what this sounds like, to me at least). You've done the right thing by talking about it. Most people don't say anything, which only makes things worse...

    I Can't Find A (Respectable) D.D. Assailant Ruling....

Are OCG rulings in Japanese good enough? This ruling says that with the effect of "D.D. Assailant" or "D.D. Warrior Lady" or "D.D. Warrior", the monsters are removed from play without going to the Graveyard, so "Grave Protector" will have no effect. Now, the monster does not go to the...

    Urgent Tuning

Yeah, Fusion Summons are out - "Power Bond", "Miracle Fusion", "Fusion Gate" and "Dragon's Mirror" are all listed as Summoning the monster by their effects, not by game mechanics or anything. The difference is that a Fusion Summon is defined as the Special Summon of a Fusion Monster by...

    Urgent Tuning

As near as I can find, you perform a Synchro Summon immediately after resolving "Urgent Tuning". "Urgent Tuning" itself does not Summon anything. In this way, it works kind of, sort of like "Last Will" or "Last Turn". Apparently, it is because the text says to "Synchro Summon 1 Synchro...

    Paladin of the Cursed Dragon

"Paladin of the Cursed Dragon" is like "Skyscraper 2 - Hero City". Neither card needs to "see" that the monster was destroyed by battle. For both cards, you can Special Summon a monster that was destroyed by battle before the card was on the field.

    re: Command Knight

The OCG and TCG rulings about "Earthbound Immortal" monsters are the same: if you only control an "Earthbound Immortal" monster, then your opponent cannot declare a direct attack (except with a card like "Jinzo #7" that can normally attack directly). The difference is that "The Legendary...

    Time Machine Vs Gladiators

barty64 is correct. When a monster is removed from the field, it is no longer considered to have battled, so you cannot activate the effect of "Gladiator Beast Samnite".

fires of doomsday and tributing face down

More or less. The OCG term "Normal Summon" is the TCG term "Normal Summon or Set", and the OCG term "Summon" is the TCG term "Normal Summon". If something prevents (OCG) Normal Summons, then it prevents (TCG) Normal Summons and Sets. The OCG term "Advance Summon" is usually translated as...

Heart of the Underdog & Veil of Darkness

Some Trigger Effects, like "Fire Trooper" have costs, although it is rarer. Revealing it is listed as a cost in the OCG. (It seems a little weird since cost are paid, and "paid" implies that you're giving up something. Here, the only thing you're giving up is private knowledge. But...

Heart of the Underdog & Veil of Darkness

You can activate both effects, in either order. For both "Heart of the Underdog" and "Veil of Darkness", you show the Normal Monster at activation, and then do everything else at resolution. "Heart of the Underdog" does not require the Normal Monster after activation, so its effect will still...

Gale and barboros VS. Skill drain

Correct, his ATK will remain at 950. The ATK of "Beast King Barbaros" is "locked in" by "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind", so all previous modifiers to ATK (like the effect of "Beast King Barbaros") are disregarded. Regardless of what happens to that effect, it is disregarded, so the ATK of...

Descending Lost Star and Stardust Dragon

    1) Effects always activate and resolve in the same place, even though the card may not be. That effect of "Stardust Dragon" always activates and resolves on the field, so it will be negated by "Descending Lost Star". Also, note that you can always activate the effect, since "Descending Lost...
