    New Manga Needs Your Help

What if he can't always control when he changes at first? If that's something he has to learn to do?

card sleeving... what's okay? what's not?

So the little round Ultra-Pro dot and the like would be no-nos? Good grief.... We actually have some sleeves without markings on the front, but heaven alone knows who manufactured them, because they came bundled with booster packs in blister packages at Target or Walmart or somewhere about...

card sleeving... what's okay? what's not?

Well, I can see getting an autograph -- I just don't see playing with the card afterwords... Either you are going to beat up the card -- or you are going to beat up the autograph... Either way it's worth less. Call us old fashioned, but autographed things went into the family bible when I was...

    New crazy question -- proxies?

Well, my understanding is the guy had pieces of white paper tucked in on top of other cards with the card text on them -- don't know if it was typed, or hand written or what, but being mistaken for real cards was not an issue in this case. What we are trying to decide is whether to allow this...

card sleeving... what's okay? what's not?

:?: Diamond patterns? That obscure the face? You mean something that has a pattern on the front, on the clear part, where the card shows? I've never even seen anything like that... Various weird holographic patterns on the back, but not on the front. Or am I missing something here...

Terminology Article, It's Done, THANK GAWD!!

Quite honestly I keep calling it (shhh - don't tell!) the discard pile at Yugioh, and the graveyard at Pokemon... Dark Star, the eternally confused....... (Where am I going, and why am I in this handbasket again?)

Terminology Article, It's Done, THANK GAWD!!

Wonderful article, but could use some updating since Upper Deck is out of the game. Also, could you add TELEDAD to your definitions? Seriously, this is a fantastic article, I really hope you edit it to include some of the more recent changes in the game because it is the most complete...

card sleeving... what's okay? what's not?

Sorry to bump this up again, but we just had a couple new people wander in today and card sleeves came up -- they said shiny metallic and picture or patterned sleeves were never allowed at a tournament, but seemed to think larger ones were okay. However, if I understand your posts from earlier...

    New Manga Needs Your Help

Given our age, he might be Arnold from Happy Days -- we both grew up with that show.

    New crazy question -- proxies?

So what about a local rule to the effect that proxies are only allowed for casual "deck testing" purposes... Not for official play, not as something you can run as a matter of course week after week; and only with the agreement of the person you are playing against? Would that make sense?

    New Manga Needs Your Help

Okay, this is off the wall, but my husband lately has been having dreams with a little Chinese man who pops up out of nowhere, tells him a bad joke or makes a bad pun, and then disappears -- POOF! Only now he's branching out -- we had a bit of a tiff about something the other day and he said...

    New crazy question -- proxies?

Just when we think we have all our bases covered, someone comes up with something new, out of the blue. I missed it (maybe before I got there? maybe I just missed it??) but rumor is someone who showed up for the first time last week was playing with (I think) proxie cards -- my kid tells me he...

    Konami judge test?

And wonder of wonders, email #3 has done the trick -- I actually got a response from Konami! It didn't tell me a whole lot, but at least I had communication! Wheeee! (See, I really am easy to make happy...) The down side of things is the sports card shop owner, who is the most supportive...

    New Manga Needs Your Help

Well, you have a point there... never thought of that..... You know, I was thinking of an aquamarine ring I own, but now that you mention it, people do usually mean blue by this, don't they? I just wasn't thinking... My ring is not so mossy a green as your example, without as much yellow in...

    New Manga Needs Your Help

:good: Well, I don't... I'm a hetero female -- I want Kaiba. Or Howl. Or Loki. Or Dean McCoppin. ...actually I'll just settle for Dean. Art from your junkyard, and good espresso... And Black hair and a goatee... Yum! ;) But I'm glad my character makes you happy! :-D Back to...

    Konami judge test?

No offense taken... Like I said, I was venting. Our problem is that we have two women who are both on food stamps, one on disability and one applying, who are trying to organize it here -- when it comes down to food, cards or travel, food comes first, cards, (a sometimes distant) second, and...

    New Manga Needs Your Help

I want a very shy girl who can fix anything -- possibly a computer genius (like Ed of Cowboy Bebop) but I'm thinking more mechanical -- when the dilithium crystal breaks down, so to speak, she's the one who can jury-rig it... Or just when you try to go to warp, like in the original second Star...

    Konami judge test?

Oh, wonderful (not)... Which are, like, over 350 miles away from us.... Or farther. On our budgets? Not happening.... Like I said, there are NO tournaments in SD, none in Wyo., I think the closest is in Bismarck, ND, about 350 miles away, and Denver, Colo. (just over 400). Over five hours...

Stupid basic Swords of Revealing Light question

I think it's also possible to lock pages so only a select few can edit them -- in this case, people with some sort of administrative and judge privileges would make sense so they could put up corrections and updates, but not just anyone could get in and mess about with stuff. Mind you, I have...
