Hi guys
I am looking at making a big city deck for this new format and i have looked at other lists here for research and ideas and have come up with the following:

Big City

Monster: 12

Elemental Hero Stratos x 1
Elemental Hero Ocean x 3
Elemental Hero Wildheart x 3
Elemental Hero Alius x 1( or Neo Spacian Grand Mole x 1)
Morphing Jar x 1
Exiled Force x 3

Spells: 20

Skyscraper 2-Hero City x 3
Terraforming x 1
Smashing Ground x 1
Fissure x 1
Reinforcement Of The Army x 2
The Warrior Returning Alive x 2
E-Emergency Call x 2
R-Righteous Justice x 2
Nobleman Of Crossout x 2
Heavy Storm x 1
Lightning Vortex x 1
Premature Burial x 1
Pot Of Averice x 1

Traps: 9

Solemn Judgment x 3
Torrential Tribute x 1
Call Of The Haunted x 1
Gravity Bind x 1
Sakurestsu Armour x 3

Total Count: 41

1st off i have no spare mirror force so please do not suggest it!!, 2nd i can't decide whether to use alius as muscle or use grand mole to get back to hand, other than that what do you guys think? and suggestions

hmmmm
i think if i had a deck with 20 spells i might want a MoF...
personally, i would prefer grand mole over alius...
may also consider swapping an exiled force for a snipe hunter.... a bit more versatile but un-fetchable here...

Ok I think I can help you since I've been playing Big City for a while now. So first I'll tell you what I think you should change:

monsters:
-1x Alius
-1x Exiled
+2x Cyber Dragon

Alright a definate mistake here's Alius. There's absolutely no need for it whatsoever. Neither is the 3rd Exiled Force since your removal should be mostly spell -and trap generated. That put aside, it is important though to have some muscle to rely on in tough situations, hence Cyber Dragons. They're a free special summon and provide an easy beatstick to walk over obstacles like Gravekeeper's Spy and Legendary Juijitsu Master. Plus you'll still have a normal summon left.

Spells:
-1x Pot of Avarice
-1x Scyscraper 2 - Hero City
-1x R - Righteous Justice
+1x Lightning Vortex
+1x E - Emergency Call

First of all, why PoA? they're only 12 monsters and you've got 2x The Warrior Returning Alive AND morphing Jar to recycle and replenish your hand already. Mostly it'll be a dead card in your hand with the exception of some rare situations, though that's not a good enough reason to play it here. The same goes for Skyscraper. Remember that your opponent's will probably target any face-downs you have instead of a field card. Scyscraper is primarely used to recyle and create a swarm in order to gain field control/presence. Also, since you've maindecked a Terraforming it's likely that, even while getting to use it, that 3rd Scyscraper will probably stay stuck in your deck.
Moving on there's the second copy of R - Righteous Justice. Though removal is very important in this deck, note that monster removal is most important. Plus Stratos is supposed to care of most face-downs, he's not just ment as a beatstick- search engine. On the contrary, his ability to destroy spell and traps is by far more important late-game. Also, a second copy of R -Justice costs you greatly needed speed, which is what makes this deck either competitive or not. That's why I've added a 3rd E - Emergency Call. A typical and ideal starting hand playing this deck would be 5 spell or trap cards and 1x E - Emergency Call to fetch out Stratos and have him search for Wildheart. Note that it's important to use E - Call for E - heroes of course but use the Reinforcement of the Army near exclusively for your non-heroes. Otherwise you'll have a tough time searching Exiled out when you need it when you're stuck with E - Call instead of RotA which you may have wasted earlier on a Wildheart or Ocean. Granted, there will be some situations where E -Call may be useless, which explains the additional Lightning Vortex. Like I've said earlier your removal should be mostly spell -and trap based. Since Big City typically runs a great deal of spell cards that can sometimes be useless you use cards as Lightning Vortex to put that dead card in your hand to good use yet. Please do not underestimate the usefullness of Vortex in this deck. After all, the goal here is find a hole in your opponent's defense so you can constantly attack while building up your forces and taking care of spell and traps with Stratos ( who will also be taking care of most of your opponent's monsters).

Traps:
-1x Call of the haunted
-1x Solemn Judgment
-3x Sakuretsu Armor
+1x Mirror Force
+1x Spell Shield - Type 8
+3x Widespread Ruin

First of all, I know 'bout the Mirror Force issue but I thought I should stress it's importance here. then, with Jinzo semi-restricted its important to make your traps count. If you plan on using Call of the Haunted in your opponent's battle phase who will you revive? Right, either Cyber Dragon or Stratos and search a hero out. BUT, once you start taking attacks there'll probably be a 2400ATK beatstick on the field (not always of course). but most of the time the monster you revive will either be:
1. destroyed in battle just as well
2. Get blown up in main phase 2.
3 Simply won't be revived because of Jinzo. (yes he will be out on the field a lot standing at 2 these days.)
That's where you use your Solemns right? Damn right :D . However, I've experienced Solemn as a risky card. You really have to know when to use it and when not to, otherwise the life-point cost will be your downfall. Generally speaking you use Solemn exclusively no negate cards that could either give your opponent a descisive advantage or on cards that would mess up the field badly. In my own Ocean/Big City deck, I play Solemns at 2 and Spell Shields at 2. But since you've opted for more removal with 3x Widespread Ruin I'll swap out just 1 Solemn for a Spell Shield. It's the prefect defense for soul control and cards like brain control, enemy controller, etc... But I'll leave that up to you for testing. Lastly, as you've already noticed, I mentioned Widespread Ruin. Yes! Dump the Sakus and go for Widespreads for the obvious reasons, so I won't go into detail 'bout that.

Anyway, I hope I've been of some help to you, and I hope you'll get the deck working perfectly. It's definetely a nice build once you get it to run smoothly. Remember to combine great speed and removal to create an opening for your attacks and do anything to keep that opening from being closed up.

Thanks vanguard for your advice it is very much appreciated, some of the cards i dont have multiples of/or not have access to but thanks anyway, upon taking your advice, i was looking through my collection for cards that you mentioned and i was hit with inspiration when i came across afew cards that changed direction(plus its a presonnal favouriite) and came up with a new list so here goes:

Big City

Monster: 12

Abyss Soldier x 2
Elemental Hero Stratos x 1
Elemental Hero Ocean x 3
Elemental Hero Wildheart x 3
Morphing Jar x 1
Exiled Force x 2

Spells: 19

Skyscraper 2-Hero City x 2
Terraforming x 1
Smashing Ground x 1
Fissure x 1
Reinforcement Of The Army x 2
The Warrior Returning Alive x 2
E-Emergency Call x 3
R-Righteous Justice x 1
Nobleman Of Crossout x 2
Heavy Storm x 1
Lightning Vortex x 2
Premature Burial x 1

Traps: 9

Solemn Judgment x 2
Torrential Tribute x 1
Gravity Bind x 1
Mirror Force x 1
Spell Shield Type 8 x 2
Sakuretsu Armor x 2

i took onboard some of the suggestions that vanguard made and added afew of my own twists as you can see, namely the abyss soldiers(which i came across while looking), it seems to me to have nice synegy with the oceans and the searchability of the deck, plus it adds another beatstick to the deck, i have a snipe sided, 3rd hero city sided, and 1 or 2 other suprises for various matchups, what do you think now?

No problem ghost23 , you're welcome. I've been going over the altered decklist and I have to say you've given it quite an intriguing twist by adding the Abyss Soldier. I've never thought of it, but it definitely has potential. Please do let me know if they run well in the deck;) . It's also a good thing that you've got the set-up standing at a total of 40 cards = more speed.
By the way, there's 1 thing I forgot to mention. Personally my own Ocean/Big City deck still suffered to much losses to be called competitive. However, I've found an appropriate answer for that which you too may want to consider: yes, Shrinks!:) They may even be worth taking out the sakus for, since Jinzo can't negate them and they'll make every common played monster too weak to take on your heroes. For me, adding the Shrinks ment a top 8 place at every tourney I went to and even a #1 place. So if you're having the same problems as I did, you might want to give Shrink a try, but I'll leave that up to you.

Thanks i will give the shrinks a try over the saks(i can always sidedeck them), like i said i was rooting through the collection to see what i had spare and came across my personnal favourite and a thought hit me about the searchability of the deck i.e, stratos, ROTA, E-emergency call, TWRA, and ocean itself with just seemed like a perfect fit to me, jinzo+abyss soldier+ocean=bouncy fun, and with abyss able to target anything onfield as long as i have any of the above cards i can just control whats done and annoy my opponant at the same time :)
