2 crazy deck ideas (a warrior/dragon and a gaia/trample)

Ok boys and gals, I'm having 2 ideas for casual play (mostly) decks.

The first one is an idea to built a warrior (or not) around Spiral Spear Strike and the 3 Gaia mates (Gaia The Fierce Knight, Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight and Gaia the Dragon Champion). I've thought about Level Conversion Lab for the non swift Gaias, plus it would dump them to the graveyard if 1 is rolled for the Champion to come into play using Dragon's Mirror(did you notice he's a dragon?!?)

The other deck will be a mix of warriors and dragons, using great dragon cards, mostly Dragon's Rage and Burst Breath, but if posible others as well. And for that, using Dragonic Attack and D. Tribe along with the warriors is the basis of the built. I've though I could go for a lvl warrior/dragon, but also a "normal" (non lvl) one.

Well, even if these seem like 2 difrent builts, my ultimate goal is to make a conversion deck with those 2 themes (drawing my self to even more headaches). But let's stick to one thing at a time for now, shall we?

So, with all that said, have at me! (please?):haveaday_

I wouldn't DARE attempt to make a conversion deck with such opposite themes.

For the Gaia deck, which I've been meaning to build for a while, I wouldn't include any level conversions. I'd use Gilasaurus and Gravekeeper's Spy. Massive field presence quite fast. Believe me, fielding Gaia can be easy that way, and he's not THAT bad of a card (kills Cyber Dragon and GeAF). Contrary to what may present itself, I don't reccommend using Gaia Power, or at least not more than one.

I agree with Jason C, gaia is definitely more viable, although I prefer Final Attack Orders with earth mons as a mainstay and trample as support rather than just gaia/trample since soul control still romps it pretty hard anyways.

You know, Gilasaurus and psy could be a great option, but I must insist on Level Conversion Lab... See it this way: Worst case cenario, you roll 5 or 6, witch makes gaia a 1 trib 2300atk/2100def monster. Best is to roll 2-4 (thats half of the rolls) were you normal summon a massive monster. And even if you roll 1, and it goes to the grave, then you have Premature Burial, Call of the Haunted or even Soul Resurrection, seeing that both gaia AND the dragon champion are normal PLUS both have 2100def. And don't forget Dragon's Mirror! Let's don't forget, Spiral Spear Strike gives Gaia the Dragon Champion not only trample, but a gracefull charity like effect. So I think I'll stick to the lab. Gilsaurous was an intresting idea... maybe I'll add him.

As for Gaia Power, I'm not planning on an earth built actually. Why? Sure, Gaia The Fierce Knight --> Earth... BUT Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight --> Dark and Gaia the Dragon Champion --> Wind. :haveaday_

And as for the conversion... I would :p

Any other ideas? How about the warrior/dragon built?

Something crazy just hit me. I don't know if you want to try it or not, because it is pretty odd, but . . . what about no monsters other than the gaia gang and maybe a few for field presence? I mean, Monster Gate and Reasoning are some truly excellent cards when played properly and, after all, how likely is it that the opponent is going to be able to handle a first-turn onslaught of a 2300 ATK monster with trample? If you could get these guys out fast and play the spiral immediately, you could do some real damage. Because we all know trample hurts the most when you've no time to prepare for it (unlike barrel combos which hurt more after you've tried to defend yourself).

Imagine this monster line up:

Gaia The Fierce Knight x3
Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight x3

Serpentine Princess x2
Spirit Reaper x2

Throw in 2x Monster Recovery, 3x Reload, and 3x Monster Gate and Reasoning, and there you go.

<EDIT:

BOOYAH! THIS IS POST # 98,000!!!!!!!

Hm, a speedy way to get them out indeed, but it really kills my Gaia the Dragon Champion... :( Thx though. I think I'll stick to doll/soul control here, so that takes care of the norm gaias. Any ideas on how to bring out the dragon champion faster? Or ideas for making use of swifts effect, maybe with some kind of hand managment?
