Question 1. What happenes if during your opponents turn a player activates Reckless Greed while they have no further cards to draw in their deck.

Would the card not be able to be activated?
Would they lose because they have no cards to draw?
Would they skip their next two drawing phases keeping them from decking out their next turn?

Question 2. If I activate Heavy Storm and then chain to Storm with Emergency Provisions. Would storm count toward the life point gain because it is still on the field and a target of Emergency Provisions?

They wouldn't be able to activate the card.

Yes, you could do that.

answer to question 1

if at any time a player has to draw a card and his deck has no cards, he automatically loose

answer to question 2

player may chain emergency provisions to heavy storm to gain 1000 lp

while resolving a chain , cards played remain on the field until its resolution

They wouldn't be able to activate the card.
What is your logic behind being unable to activate the card.  Drawing the two cards is not a cost, therefore, I would think that this would be an valid activation.  Comments please.

he is right

it is called "kara uchi" or "empty hit"

when you have no cards in your deck , you may not activate a card that forces you to draw

it would be a ilegal activation

however

you could flip sumon "morphing jar" since its efct must to happen and the draw efct would cause you to loose

manual efcts may not be activated when the timming incorrect

automatically efcts still happens in regardless if the timming is correct

another example is "night assassin"

player can flip sumomn him even if oponent has no monster on the field

(in this case, its efct would resolve without efct)

So which is it guys? Do they lose? Or can the card not be activated?

Any official rules on this anywhere?

It's similar to "paying yourself to death." Since the card requires you to draw two, and you have less than that, you won't be able to fulfill the effect.

Can you play Premature Burial with less <= 800 lp?

No, because you don't have enough to pay.

Finally a topic with that kind of questions. I think that reckless greed cannot be activated since it forces you to draw, and you don`t have anything to draw. But is the same thing with Pot of greed. For example my opponent activates POG when he has only 1 card on his deck. Is this a valid move?
