Hello, i have a couple questions:

When can skull layer be activated? can it be activated more than once per turn?

If you have red eyes black chick, can you automaticly remove it to play red eyes b dragon, and then remove that to play red eyes darkness dragon, if it is in your hand?

When you have a card with an equip attatched to it, and it is returned to your hand, what happens to the equip card?

Can you choose to not activate a normal or flip effect?

thanks for all the help, there will be more questions coming!

1. As long as you have monsters in your graveyard, you can activate Skull Lair.

2. Yes you can.

3. The equip card gets destroyed.

4. A flip effect is mandatory, there is no choice, IT MUST activate.

Skull Lair's initial activation (being flipped face-up) can be done pretty much without restriction following standard rules for activating traps (not the same round as set, not during damage step unless altering ATK/DEF, etc.)

Skull Lair's actual effect can be activated (after it has been successfully resolved to the field) multiple times in the same chain as long as you have sufficient monsters in the graveyard.

Black Chick is sent to the graveyard (it is an ignition effect and will create a chain). Once it has successfully resolved and you have Special Summoned your Red-Eyes Black Dragon you would have the response chain to wait through and then timing would be correct to Special Summon Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon from your hand (does not start a chain).

The equip would be destroyed by game mechanics.

What do you mean by Normal effect.

A Flip Effect will begin a chain when it has been flipped. You can't elect not to destroy a monster when Man-Eater Bug is flipped.

Note, for the last question. There are Flip Effect monsters that give you the choice of what to do. "Penguin Soldier" for instance. You are allowed to return 0, 1 or 2 monsters to the owner's hand(s).

wow, you guys are awesome. thanks for the info. just wondering, with what the last person said, CAN you use it during an opponents turn?? o_O i diddnt think you could!

Yes, its perfectly legal to use Skull Lair's effect during your opponent's turn, it is Spell Speed 2 after all.

Since we are discussing Skull Lair, could someone explain how you would go activating its effect on your opponent's turn, do you just declare you are using it anytime, or you activate its effect to tag on the end of a chain or what.

Simply follow rules of Priority and chaining. When you are the non-turn player you must wait for the opponent to begin a chain (then chain Skull Lair to it), or when they pass Priority to you you may activate it then.

If you have additonal input on the topic you're more than welcome to post it, however a simple statement of agreement isn't necessary and could be viewed as spam which we do not allow.
