About control switch and monster zones

I'm thinking about Control switches of the style of Creature Swap and Invader of the Throne. ¿Could there be any restriction to activate/resolve these effects if some player's monster card zones are full?

With "Creature Swap" and "Invader of the Throne", the monsters are switched at the same time, so you would be able to activate it if either you or your opponent had five monsters on the field.

Thanks, Stephen.

I thought exactly the same, but a friend of mine brought this statement from the judge list to me:

When the Flip Effect of YOUR "Invader of the Throne" activates, YOUR
"Invader of the Throne" is given to the opponent, and your opponent gives
you the monster you selected to gain control of.

The 'and' here was interpreted as a 'then'. Well, that could be corrected. My friend said that, even if the control switch of monster were to be done at the same time, it should be a requisite to have at least 1 free space in the monster zone. It was a valid point, since control switches like Change of Heart obviously require at least 1 free space, but I don't know.

In the case that both monster spaces were full, the idea of using Change of Heart is invalid. My friend said that the same should happen with Creature Swap.

I would like to hear some opinions about this. Need some arguments.

In the case of Creature Swap, I do believe that it will work. Even if there are ten monsters on the field. Since the effect of Creature Swap does not target, it's like Exchange in a way. It will create a state where you exchange monsters with one another. This is just how I see it and same goes with Invader of the Throne.

But unlike Creature Swap, Invader of the Throne IMO works slightly different for understanding. It's like two people changing teams in the middle of a sports game. They are changing teams on the field, but technically there never were more on one side than the other since it happened at the same time.

EDIT: What I meant was, the game is paused in a way and the teams are acquiring new members to continue the game. =/ I am so horrible at explaining things. xD

Let me reference this to something more clear which I am trying to do to explain my point of view. It creates a state like Last Will where the count of monsters remains the same but it can rework the monsters how the players decide which monsters are switched. There is no six monsters on once side and four on another. Player A doesn't ever gain six monsters for a brief moment where as Player B only has four. It IMO doesn't work like that. Just creates one of those special states in the game like how Last Will does, just doens't last nearly as long. xD

I think I ranted a little bit. Hope anyone that read that understood it. xD
