Ancient Gear Engineer vs. Call of the Haunted

I was wondering, what would happen if I used Call on Ancient Gear Engineer. Would it be like Calling back Jinzo, or would it not work since the card states "Negate any Trap card that designates this card as a target and destroy it." I've been trying to figure it out, but I don't want to do it wrong at the next tourney I'm in.

It would be the same as using Premature Burial on Freed the Matchless General.

Call of the Haunted would bring Ancient Gear Engineer back to the field. AGE would then negate Call of the Haunted and destroy it, leaving AGE on the field by itself. (It wouldn't be destroyed since CotH's effect of destoying the monster was already negated)>
