Ancient Gear Monsters?

Everyone has run across "Ancient Gear Golem" some time or another. One card I am wondering about is the "Ancient Gear". With the new text format "Ancient Gears" ext would suggest eny monster with Ancient Gear in its card name would allow it to be special summoned. So I ask everyone out there to read "Ancient Gears" text and let me know what you think.

It says "An 'Ancient Gear'..." so I would assume it means that particular monster. If it I had said "An 'Ancient Gear' monster ..." then there would be argument that it would work with Ancient Gear Golem. But I'm 99.99% certain it only works with Ancient Gear itself.

While an "Ancient Gear" is face-up on your side of the field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand in Attack Position.


Face-up or face-down? Or either?

It does not say ""Ancient Gear" monster", only "Ancient Gear", which refers only to the actual Ancient Gear card. Not Ancient Gear Beast, Ancient Gear Castle, etc.

Unless specified, all Special Summons are face up.

to the question of "face-up or face down? or either?"

you can never put a monster in facedown attack position

and most special summons are in face up def. or atk., and to the question of its effect, it says right on its effect "you can special summon this card from your hand"
