ARA QUESTION for demise deck

hey guys i run a demise otk deck and have a couple of questions about Advanced Ritual Art
the text says:Select 1 Ritual Monster in your hand. Send Normal Monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard whose total Levels are equal to that Ritual Monster's. Ritual Summon a card with the name of the selected Ritual Monster from your hand.

now my question is can you go over the level required? example:
i try to ritual summon demise. can i discard 2 insect knights and 1 armored metal bug?

or what if i had a level 7 monster and a level 4 could i discard those or would it have to be exact levels

Nope. The star level has to be exact for the ritual monster when you use Advanced Ritual Art.

Equal to the level is the key phrase here. Nothing more, nothing less.
