Autonomous Action Unit

Autonomous Action Unit
Equip Spell

Pay 1500 Life Points. Select 1 Monster Card from your opponent's Graveyard, Special Summon it on your side of the field in face-up Attack Position, and equip it with this card. When this card is destroyed or removed from the field, the equipped monster is destroyed.

Now, I presume the following would be true. If the monster that I special summoned from my opponent's graveyard is flipped face down (by "Book of Moon" or "Tsukuyomi"), would I retain control?

I would say yes. Reason being, this scenario is almost identical to what would happen if it were "Snatch Steal" that were equipped to my opponent's monster. If after I took control and flipped it face down, "Snatch Steal" would be destroyed, but I'd retain control. So I'm betting the same would be true with "Autonomous Action Unit". I haven't found anything in this regards though so I'm just turning here to make sure I'm not crazy.

Thanks.

I think you're right. I look at Autonomous Action Unit like a fused Equipped Monster Reborn. The monster you revived is now under your control (provided Remove Brainwashing is not on the field) and won't switch back if it got flip faced down.

Right but for LP sake, have Spell Economics to make it a "Premature Reborn" that doesn't cost anything. Now if only they had a "trap economics" for cards like Mirror Wall. HAHA

I have that too... but sometimes you don't always have the chance to activate it. Plus it's fun being able to kill off your opponent's BLS and then AAU back to your side of the field. :D
