Autonomous Action Unit

If my opponent activates Autonomous Action Unit on my Guardian Sphinx and flips it face down doesn't it go back to the controller? I am pretty sure it does but I am just making sure. Thank you very much in advance.

According to the October ARRJ if the card that AAU is equiped to is turned face down then AAU goes to the graveyard (sent) and the monster card remains under the control of the controller. If, however, it is beamed off the field by Interdimensional Matter Transporter the monster card would return to the control of the owner.

Yes, it's the same as if you used "Snatch Steal".

If you take control of your opponent's monster with "Snatch Steal" or "Autonomous Action Unit" and then that monster is flipped face down, you retain control of that monster even though "Snatch Steal"/"Autonomous Action Unit" is destroyed as a result.
