Banisher of the Light and Needle Worm

I belive the effect still rides. There are only so few cards that say that they must go etc.. etc..

I'm not positive and you didnt use AUtolink to view both cards automatically.

If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like you are asking if a Banisher of the Light is in play, will a flipped Needle Worm cause a player to deck out.

If thats the case, then no. Needle Worm's effect simple forces 5 cards to the Graveyard. If another effect happens to redirect the cards to the Removed From Game Area, then it's simple redirected.

Note that Needle Worm does not say anything about drawing cards. It sends all five cards in one lump sum. Redirecting them will not force you to grab another five.

Is there a card effect that would cause a player to deck out?

A deck out it will cause, the thing is that the player left without cards won't lose immediately, it would wait until the Draw Phase.

I'm pretty sure that's a misconception.

It's true if you can't draw in the Draw Phase you loose, but i'm pretty sure that loosing from inability to draw applies to effects as well. In the case of effect that makes you "draw" if you run out of cards to draw, before the required amount is drawn, you will loose as soon as the effect finishes resolving. If both players deckout together, it's a draw game.

I was just referring to the "appearance" of the game, no "deck" is simple terms means deck out, I know that in reference to terminology about how to lose by deck out means inability to draw.

SilentSwordsmaster yes the cards will be removed from play.

I get what you mean...and now i see that you were actually refering to Needle Worm.

I got confused because the convo had moved to effects that make you "deck-out" or loose, so i thought you were suggesting that no matter what, you would have to wait till the Draw Phase...my error.
