Anyone have the text for Boot-Up Soldier - Dread Dynamo and Stronghold the Moving Fortress handy? Purity had an article about it over at Metagame, but she only discusses potential uses for their effects. She never actually spells out the effects.

While your at it, throw in Ancient Gear Engineer, if you don't mind, too.

Negate the effect of Trap card that target this card is destroy it. When this card attacks, opponent cannot activate Magic/Trap cards until the end of Damage Step. At the end of Damage Step this card attacks, destroy a Magic/Trap card on opponent's field.

When there's face-up [Gadget] monster on your field, increase this card's attack strength by 2000.

Mobile Fortress - Stronghold
Trap/Continuous
After this card is activated it would become a monster card Earth/Machine/4/0/2000) and special summoned to your monster card zone in defense mode. When there're [Yellow Gadget], [Green Gadget], and [Red Gadget] face-up on your field, this card's attack strength becomes 3000. (This card is treated as a Trap Card.)

Gadgets are so strong and supported, they are potentially more dangerous and broken than the Chaos -Envoys were...

Stronghold the Moving Fortress
Normal Trap
After activation, Special Summon this card in Defense Position. It is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 2000). (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.) While "Green Gadget", "Red Gadget", and "Yellow Gadget" are all face-up on your side of the field, the ATK of this card becomes 3000.

Negate the effect of any Trap Card that targets this card, and destroy that Trap Card. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. When this card attacks, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field at the end of the Damage Step.

Boot-Up Soldier - Dread Dynamo
Machine-Effect/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 2000
While you have a face-up "Gadget" monster on your side of the field, this card gains 2000 ATK.
 
No way. Those Gadget Supports aren't that good. Nothing is more broken then Chaos Envoy. Japan had Gadgets for years (Along with 3x Shrink that we don't have access to) and you don't see them limiting Gadgets into 1~2x of each.
 
Since the meta is far different then it was in the Chaos days and you have to work harder to achieve your goals, it's not necessarily more broken then the Envoy, but that's not really what he means. He means that comparatively, compared to the state of the meta now and then, it's considerably broken.

exactly... these days things are so much different than they were when the envoys came to us... back then it was easy to devastate the field with CED and BLS in your deck.... it wasnt even about what your deck had in it or how you played it anymore so much as it was Who got theirs out first...
Nowadays, its a bit tougher, and these gadgets seem to have some serious potential. I know that they have wreaked havoc in asia for a while. So what Im saying is that FOR US.. these things are goin to really change our meta, whether we like it or not. I think these will be almost as widely used as the envoys were, maybe not as devastating, but they DO have great support coming, and they will be in the top 8, and even the TOP decks out there... at least thats my prediction, once we learn how to use them and get used to them.....

As for these 3 cards::
with the ability to swarm that the gadgets have, I dont see why Stronhold the Moving Fortress wont be BAD A ... if you can get it off...

Cold Wave may end up being a bit counter productive with these, but maybe Giant Trunade would be more effective ...

then again, dont listen to me.. i have no clue.. hahaahha
 
I have serious doubts against Mobile Fortress - Stronghold or the other monster with similar effect. All you need to do is take out one Gadget and you've got a 0 ATK monster in Face-up Attack position. It's nearly as embarassing as having Exxod hit by an Enemy Controller.
 
That's why Stronghold and Dread Dynamo have high DEF. Plus, Gadgets won't get removed from the field if you have a strong Gadget deck. You have to make a Gadget Deck to a point where no matter what your opponent does, your Gadgets will stay safe. Monster Removal cards are the perfect cards to add to a Gadget deck, that way the field is cleared for your Gadgets to finish the game. Plus, it's not like your opponent is gonna have more than 1 or 2 monsters out at a time...unless they're playing a Gadget deck too. >.<

With all that high DEF, they make a good sponge for Smashing Ground. Even with all three Gadgets out, a simple Fissure leaves you with a 0 ATK monster standing face-up. If Stronghold is used, I wouldn't expect it to EVER come out of defence mode.
