Brain Jacker, again!

Brain jacker needs to be manually flipped to get its effect. However, does this only mean it needs to survive the attack of a monster, such as using waboku, to gain it's effect?

Brain Jacker does not need to be manualy flipped. It only needs to be face up on the field at the resolution of it's effect. So yes, activating Waboku when your opponent attacks it will get it flipped and activated without dying.
