Chemistry 101 - The Depth of Water

Water, if deprived of it long enough, one will die. Sitting in Chemistry class, we took two simple elements, hydrogen and oxygen, and combined them to make one of the most important and abundant compounds in the world, water. In the release of Elemental Energy, strategic duelists from all around bypassed the monsters from hell, and the protectors of the world, just to go to the scientific equations of Yu-Gi-Oh!

H2O is the molecular formula for water, or Hydrogen Oxide; Now in Yu-Gi-Oh! Terms that equals out to the following:
2 Hydrogeddon + 1 Oxygeddon = Water Dragon

Lets start with Hydrogen. Hydrogeddon is probably the best thing to happen to Dinosaurs since Invasion of Chaos. But alone Hydrogeddon won’t work, this Dinosaur is a swarming monster so he it must be ran in Threes. Now this isn’t your average Dino that the little kids play with; Hydrogeddon kills the majority of cards played in today’s Meta, whether it is Morphing Jar, Magician of Faith or those pesky warriors like Marauding Captain, D.D. Warrior Lady, Mystic Swordsman LV2 and more. Ignoring the tribute monsters such as Cyber Dragon, Jinzo, Airknight Parshath and that monster known as the D.D. Assailant, Hydrogeddon can take down the majority of monsters your opponent will throw at you. In an Ocean deck (A Legendary Ocean) Hydrogeddon will more than likely dominate over the older Mermaid Knight or Amphibious Bugroth MK-3 . A 3 star,1800 ATK swarmer is not something that will be taken lightly in your opponent’s eyes. The lack of defense that Hydrogeddon has is its weakness, 1000 DEF is something that will be taken down quite easily, but you will get your punch in before Hydrogeddon is destroyed. This is one of the key cards to make Water Dragon.

The second part of this equation is Oxygeddon, 1800 attacker, Dinosaur-Type and a Wind Monster; not very good, the only real play Oxygeddon will see is in a Water Dragon deck. Oxygeddon's effect isn’t to great, you will probably never see Oxygeddon being destroyed by a Pyro Monster in battle, unless you are running against a Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch, it is pretty much useless unless it is being fused with its brother.

Finally we come to the card that makes the world spin, Water Dragon. With a whopping 2800 ATK and a wall of 2600 DEF Water Dragon is a "˜force’ to be reckoned with. The hardest part will indeed be getting him to the field , yes it is easier to do so with Hydrogeddon’s swarm effect and Oxygeddon just having to sit there, but drawing Bonding - H2O to your hand at the right time is crucial. If you do manage to get Water Dragon out then it is war. Naturally fire is defeated by water, so why not add that effect to Water Dragon? When Water Dragon is on the field, all Fire and Pryo monsters have there attack strength reduced down to 0. Combine that effect with Lava Golem and it is not that bad, not only will you get rid of two of your opponents monster with Lava Golem but you can take down Lava Golem for a dealt total of 2800 life points with Water Dragon. Probably the best part of this monsters effect is of course when it is destroyed; you will get to summon 2 Hydrogeddon and 1 Oxygeddon to the field, the exact monster you used to create Water Dragon. Now if you manage to draw another Bonding - H2O then you are well set.

There are many ways to approach a Water Dragon deck. Lets talk about a few of them.
Right off the bat many will think; well since Hydrogeddon and Water Dragon are indeed Water monsters, A Legendary Ocean deck is the best way to go, that is not necessarily true but it is a good approach. Like mentioned before if A Legendary Ocean is out on the field it will give a boost to your monsters attack power and will lower there attribute cost, but that doesn’t really help out Water Dragon because he must be summoned through Bonding - H2O, that however does give you the upper hand with Hydrogeddon being able to last longer so you may summon Water Dragon later on; unfortunately for Oxygeddon he is a Wind Attribute so Oxygeddon gets no help from A Legendary Ocean.

Now if you want to take the approach of DNA Transplant and Scroll of Bewitchment, it is a possibility, but you will be relying on a lot of cards to get the job done; and with all of the Magic and Trap destruction going around it may not work out to well. DNA Transplant will change all monsters to fire, making your Water Dragon 0 ATK as well, combined with Scroll of Bewitchment you could turn Water Dragon into another type though, making it go back up to its original 2800 attack; so you could use its effect to destroy and deal damage to your opponents monsters. But like I said earlier; with cards like Dust Tornado, Heavy Storm, and Mystical Space Typhoon, there is a chance that this will not work.

Don’t you just love Science?

Probably want to enable auto-linking, and fix a lot of spelling mistakes. H20 Bonding is not Bonding - H2O. Pryo is not Pyro. Also, I disagree with you in the A Legendary Ocean scenario. I use a WATER Deck that focuses on Sea Serpent, a Water Beatdown, and it works fine. Well, I say it works alright. I have yet to actually get Water Dragon out in that Deck only because my Levia Dragon takes them out. You also should have listed more pros and cons.

This is an article, that should be taken into consideration spelling and grammar mistakes. That aside, he really did not go into Water Dragon itself, but rather the science behind it. Sure he mentioned the 1 combo that everyone and their grandmother thinks is some l33t combo with Water Dragon, but he really did not list more of the pros and cons of the cards involved in it. At least with my review of Water Dragon, the card, I went into more elaborate detail on it. His Lava Golem was a nice touch, but it involves a lot of moves to play it. It was not a bad article, in fact someone bother to write a article on a card like this deserves some kind of praise of giving other cards a shot. Just wish there was more involved in the actual card. He does not even mention the fact Bonding - H2O tributes them as a COST or that Water Dragon is an optional effect.

See this is why when I ask you to proofread my articles, and you say no, I hate you posting negative feedback, yes your contructive with your posts, but I came to you and asked you to proofread it and you said no. I think I might get more proofreaders besides DJ and CR. Thanks for the help inu and tiso I will take your thoughts in.

Well, Falen and I did go over this article for some spelling errors, but we had some emails get mixed up and the one I sent with the speling corrections didn't get posted. This will hapens sometimes. We're all imperfect. I've edited in the spelling corrections, which were mostly just to enable the auto-linking, using the original suggestions I sent Fallen.

A little critisim is not bad. But I agree with Chaos.. Lets not turn constructive critsim into a flame war. I know for a fact we are all too mature then that. :)

lol I know, I just checked my spam folder and your emialed corrections were indeed in there and unread, thankyou DJ I appreciate this.
