Cosmos Questions

1)Exiled Force: If Macro Cosmos is active in play and a player tributes Exiled Force, it does not go to the graveyard, but out of play. Players in my meta are claiming that this makes the effect of e-force null and void, as in it doesn't work if it doesn't go to the graveyard. I don't believe this. Any response?

2)Deck Devestation Virus: I pretty much am sure on this one, but a friend asked me to post it. If you tribute a D.D. Survivor at over 2000 for Deck Devestation while Macro Cosmos is in play, I am pretty sure that Deck Devestation would work just fine and Survivor returns. Someone (like above) said that because the tribute doesn't go to the graveyard, Deck Dev doesn't work. Responses???

1. Of course not. ;) "Tribute" is "tribute" regardless of where another effect ends up putting it. The Graveyard is the default destination of a tributed monster, but not required for it to be considered a successful tribute. It wouldn't be any different for tribute effects like Cannon Soldier, Lava Golem or the like. Now if the effect requires the card to be in the Graveyard in some manner, only then would it matter. But we've already had them inform us that Exiled is NOT a Graveyard effect.

2. Same answer as above. The mechanic of tributing is offering the monster as tribute. It goes to the Graveyard because mechanic's send it there, but it's not dependant on going there.

If the Graveyard had any bearing on how tributes worked then this rulings would not exist:
Lava Golem
You can Tribute "Sheep Tokens" to Special Summon "Lava Golem" because it is not a Tribute Summon.
And, as well all know, tokens do not go to the Graveyard. This is why we have two different mechanics for "tribute" and "send to the Graveyard".
