A simple question really about this Continuous Trap Card.

"Each time a Spell Card is activated, the controller of that Spell Card takes 1000 points of damage."

What I want to know is, if I activate a Spell Card, and my opponent chains Curse of Darkness to it, would I lose 1000LP.

No, "Curse of Darkness" inflicts damage immediately after a Spell card is ACTIVATED, not resolved. You have already activated your Spell card before "Curse of Darkness" resolves, so no damage is inflicted here.

Curse of Darkness' effect hits both players as well and not just your opponent. It's a great card to keep your opponent from using spells against you.
