Cyber Kirin and Powerbond

Before I swap out my Des Wombat s for the Searchable Cyber Kirin I wanted to know if it can protect against the effects of power bond.

By Tributing this card, until the end of this turn, any effect damage inflicted to the controller of this card becomes 0.​

Sure does. Power Bond says "the player who activated this card takes damage equal to the original ATK of the Special Summoned monster." As long as the effect is inflicting damage through an effect, then Cyber Kirin will "deflect" it.

I wanted to be sure. Since Powerbonds effect takes place in the end phase and Cyber Kirin protects to the end of turn.

Hmmm.... You know seeing it in text like that it just seems so obvious now. heh.
