Correct. Armed Dragon LV3 is an equip card while on the field and as such, does not get to use it's effect.
see, that's what i was thinking.
but in the cyberdark text is says equip it to this monster.
IMPLYING that it is treated as an equip card.
it doesn't actually say it is one and thus would not get its effect.
and on a side note:
tp summons the cyberdark.
tp equips pitch-dark dragon
since pitch-dark is now equipped via cyberdark's effect, can pitch-dark now be unequipped and special summoned to the field? (since it doesn't not say "unequip the union equipment from 'Dark Blade'")
Pitch-Dark Dragon
Union Monster (Dragon / DARK / 3 Stars / ATK 900 / DEF 600)
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the field, you can equip it to your "Dark Blade" as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. If Pitch-Dark Dragon is equipped to Cyberdark Dragon by Cyberdark Dragon's effect, you CANNOT unequip it with Pitch-Dark Dragon's effect. It needs to have been equipped by the effect of the Union monster before you can unequip it by the Union monster's effect. That is, it must be a Union equipment (as seen in the card text) for it to be able to decouple itself.since pitch-dark is now equipped via cyberdark's effect, can pitch-dark now be unequipped and special summoned to the field? When it's equipped by Cyberdark Dragon's effect, Pitch-Dark Dragon does absolutely nothing. It doesn't give the ATK boost and Trample effect to the equipped monster, and you cannot unequip it and Special Summon it.

Also, Pitch Dark's effect implies that it is a monster on the field BEFORE being equipped and not equipped from the graveyard by another card's effect.

Not really. Roll Out equips Union monsters properly.
True, but I was referring to Cyberdark Dragon's effect of equipping a dragon-type monster from the graveyard, namely Pitch Dark, and not the ability of another effect equipping Pitch Dark. In this instance, Pitch Dark does not get it's effect.
