Cybernetic Magician + Exarion Universe

ok, we've talked about both of these guys but here's a quick question.

Say I use the effect of Cybernetic Magician and target Exarion Universe to give him 2000 attack for the turn. I am guessing that since I am still meeting the lowering requirement of Exarion's effect that he would still get his trample effect and have 1600 attack instead of 1400. Is this correct?

Correct? Cybernetic Magician's effect will modify Exarion Universe's attack until the end of the turn. Exarion Universe, however, steps in and further modifies the attack to 1600 when you apply his effect.
