Daedalus/Demise ruling contradiction.

Levia-Dragon - Daedalus
By sending "Umi" on your side of the field to the Graveyard, destroy all cards on the field except this card.

"¢ When "Book of Moon" is chained to "Levia-Dragon Daedalus"' effect to flip it face-down, the effect still resolves, but "Levia-Dragon Daedalus" is destroyed by its own effect, since it's no longer "this card", it's just "a card".

Demise, King of Armageddon
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "End of the World". By paying 2000 Life Points, destroy all cards on the field except this card.

"¢ If an effect is chained to "Demise's" effect to flip "Demise, King of Armageddon" face-down, he is still not destroyed by his effect.

They both have the same effect so obviously it makes no sense for one to become "a card" and the other to still be "this card" if they're flipped face-down before their effects resolve. The Daedalus ruling is older but that would seem to be the more logical one to follow here.

Both rulings are correct, as there are other cards that follow each ruling. (More cards compare to Levia than to Demise)

And then there's Fusilier the Dual Mode beast that has aspects of both rulings (I.e. it remembers its effect initially when face-down, but forgets it if turned face-down later)

"THis card" or "that card" is ambiguous.

Woud that be similar to cards comparing more to Demise than to Armegeddon?.....;)

Sorry DaGuy...had to poke fun at you.... I'm sure you meant to say Demise instead of Daedalus...

Yes but Fusiler NEVER forgot which card it was, just what ATK/DEF was in play. The effect of normal summon or set without tribute for half the regular ATK/DEF just left the building (much like Elvis) when it was tampered with by flipping it from face-up to face-down. It just allowed the current ATK/DEF to reset to it's original ATK/DEF. Still, Fusiler was Fusiler, regardless of whether face up or down. It wasn't just "this card".

Where and what was the result???

EDIT:Here: http://www.cogonline.net/threads.15803&highlight=Demise

However, no result!
Exactly. No result, and you saw for yourself how long its been an issue. I'm not saying it shouldnt be discussed further, but if the Judge List isnt giving us an answer, we have reached a Dead End here, and have no further choice but to go with the rulings they already have given us from Konami.
