Dark Coffin

Can Dark Coffin just be sent (not destroyed) to the graveyard i.e. by Emergency Provisions in order for it to activate, or must it be destroyed i.e. heavy storm?

Must be destroyed. Also, must be sent to the Graveyard when destroyed. If it's removed from play, it also won't get it's effect off.

This is similar to monster effects that look to be destroyed, but don't trigger when they are tributed, sent to the Graveyard, discarded, etc. In this case the wording is everything. Even for Spell Cards "sent" does not equal "destroy".
