Dark Magician's Decree

Sorry it took so long to reply, I can't seem to string together 10 minutes in a row here :D

First off, excellent choice (Points to Avatar). The release of Magical Dimension has made these decks SO much more playable it's not even funny. I'm loving mine of late, and frankly it's become my "best" deck. Hopefully my experiences can assist you in some way ....

MONSTERS

-1 Dark Magician
-2 Gemini Elf
-1 D.D. Assailant

+1 Skilled Dark Magician
+1 Mythical Beast Cerberus
+1 D.D. Warrior Lady
+1 Chaos Sorcerer

What I've tried to do here is give you the option of Chaos Sorcerer by switching out the EARTH Gemini Elves with a third Skilled Dark Magician (DARK) and a Mythical Beast Cerberus (LIGHT). Also swapping out D.D. Assailant with D.D. Warrior Lady (LIGHT), since she's quite a bit more flexible. I dropped the third Dark Magician since you really don't need three, unless your deck size gets too high, like in the 46-48 card range.

I'm not too sure about the Morphing Jar in here, since you have Magical Dimension to get your high-level monsters out, and you might not want to have your opponent discarding a bunch of Dark Worlders, but I'll leave that up to you to decide (of course)). Perhaps Tsukuyomi instead?

SPELLS

-1 Enemy Controller
+1 Double Spell

I think I'll get laughed at for this one, but overall I like the spell lineup. Looks a lot like mine :D 3 Magical Dimensions might be a smidge of overkill, but I can see how you'd want to keep it there. Anyway, I'm not so sure that Enemy Controller is all that wonderful in here. It's a powerful card, sure, but what are you getting out of it usually? You don't want to be tributing your own monsters much, since you'll need them for Magical Dimension, but the other effect certainly can come in handy in a pinch. I would at least try Double Spell. Sure it's a "loss of advantage" in most people's minds, but mid-late duel you'll have a lot of tasty treats to choose from in that opposing Graveyard!

TRAPS

No changes

I dunno ... traps are so personal preference in this case, I don't think I can recommend anything. I like Waboku in this deck, as well as Ceasefire. Your lineup is nice too :D I would stay away from Magician's Circle (which you did), since Magical Dimension is far better IMO.

Nice deck, and good luck with it in the tournament. Even without any changes at all, I'm sure you'll do fine!

You know, I was messing around with my DM deck earlier today, and actually got an opportunity to equip Mythical Beast Cerberus with Mage Power ... it's a great combo. Perhaps not tourney-worthy since nobody seems to care about equips anymore, but something to consider.

I'm trying out 2 of those monsters with 1 each of Mage Power and United We Stand now. So far, it's working really well. Cerberus is searchable and Last Will-able, and it's not really that much of a stretch to be able to Magical Dimension out a weakling Spellcaster with a DM or DMoC, throw down a Last Will (or do it beforehand depending on how Last Will be ruled), bring out Cerberus, equip him with Mage, and you've got yourself a heapload of ATK power on the field.

Might be worth considering. Too bad they restricted Last Will on us :D
