When dark necrofear gets destoyed, can it take horus lvl6?

Horus lvl6 is unaffected by spell cards, does it include dark necrofear? it should, because it becomes an equip spell

please correct me

You can indeed "Equip" Dark Necorfear to Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6, but, as it's text states, it is "unaffected" by Spell Cards, so it would be meaninglessly equipped.

Spell Cards can still be quipped to Horus, in general though, they just dont do anything to him, for him, or against him, and he doesnt do anything to them to negate their effect, so they stay equipped.

On a side note though, like masterwoo0 said, you can equip things to Horus, then destroy the equip to destroy Horus :p .
What equip are you thinking of that would effect Horus LV6 if it was destroyed? He is immune to Spell Cards, destroying a Big Bang Shot that is equipped to Horus LV6 would do nothing to Horus, nor Premature Burial. Call of the Haunted would destroy Horus LV6 if attached and destroyed but obviously that is not a spell card so it is a whole different situation.

I thought that even by equipping an equip spell card to Horus LV6 (even though it has no effect and it basically sits there equipped meaninglessly), you could destroy the equip and Horus would then be destroyed because of a game mechanic...

Am I wrong in my thinking?

Who said "Call of the Haunted" would have no effect on "Horus LV 6"?

<having read Anthonyj's post again>

My appologies.....it was early, I have to STOP posting early in the morning before 32oz. of Diet Coke....when WILL I learn this lesson!

In answer to your question...NOBODY stated it, it was I who didn't read as well as I should have.

So if I "Snatch Steal" my opponent's "Horus LV6", it will remain on my opponent's side of the field, and they will gain the 1000 LPs each turn. Now, you're saying that if I "MST" my "Snatch Steal" "Horus LV6" will be destroyed? :drugged:

That WOULD be an interesting thing to happen!!..:dope:

[edit]I'm just trying to give an example that we ALL should know is NOT POSSIBLE!!..lol.

No, because Dark Necrofear says, 'It is treated as an Equip Magic Card at the end of the turn.'
That reminds me, Swartz, there is a brand new problem regarding Equip Cards that has popped up on the forums lately. A recent rulings revision and a couple of errats to cards like Dark Necrofear have created some confusion.

We now have such a thing as Equip Trap Cards in the game. Blast with Chain for example becomes an Equip Trap Card instead of a Spell Card, which incidently was always the case in Japan.

Erratas to cards like Dark Necrofear, Thousand-Eyes Restrict and the text on newer monsters like Brain Jacker use the phrase "Equip Card" instead of "Equip Spell Card" and this has mistakenly led people to believe that there is such a thing an Equip Card that is neither Spell nor Trap.

We've had to correct this several times, but it bears repeating here that Traps that transform into Equip Cards become Equip Traps Cards and Monster that transform into Equip Cards ALWAYS default to Equip Spell Cards.

So Horus is immune to the effects of Dark Necrofear, because, despite the errata to her text that says "... it is treated as an Equip Card ..." she is a Monster Card before this happens and monsters ALWAYS default to Spell.

That's why I questioned the whole thing to begin with (even though I read the post incorrectly) I believe in the same breath they talked about a equip. spell card is considered destroyed if the monster it is equipted with is destroyed....though that doesn't activate the effect of a equip. card that activates when it's destroyed. I know, confusing, this is Yugioh, what did you expect?

Yeah, that's that whole "destroyed via game mechanic" vs "destroyed by card effect" scenario that went on and limited Necrofear's power. But it also helped out in a few situations where Butterfly Dagger - Elma came into question.

Ahh, such is the mechanics. 8^D

What cards are now condisered to by Equip Trap Cards. I know that Blast with Chain is obvious, but would this new group include cards such as Call of the Haunted, and Nightmare Wheel, or would it just be cards that are identical to Equip Spell Cards, expect that they are traps.

Also, is this on www.yugioh-card.com, or any other website?
As I stated earlier, Call of the Haunted is not a Equip Card, it is a Continuous Trap Card, with the effect of keeping the selected monster on the field as long as it is not removed.

It doesn't equip the same way that Nightmare Wheel doesn't equip either.

It would have to be an Trap Card that says in its text that it becomes an Equip Card after activation. Nightmare Wheel and Call of the Haunted don't qualify. They only continuously target a selected monster. Thats not a Game Mechanic like an Equip. That's part of the cards effect.
