dark world tribute from the hand

hi guys
got a question about the DW lot(god these guys have given me headaches at the local club having to explain the cost vs discard subject) now as i just said i know the cost vs discard effect part ot the DW guys but one that did give me a brain freeze at first is when the DW guys are offered as tributes from the hand for ritual summoning, again this is where wording may come into play, while on costed cards it generally says DISCARD x amount of cards from hand to activate effect i.e raigeki break, while in general for ritual cards it says TRIBUTE x amount of stars from hand/field to special summon said monster(u know what i mean) now is this tributing considered a cost effect and the DW guys effect dont go off or a general discard event and the DW effects go through?

Truly this is a case where you really have to pay attention to what the card text says when these cards leave your hand.

If it expressly doesnt say "discard", and it is part of a "cost", then their effects will not trigger.

Somewhere on this site, there is a very detailed list of cards that trigger Dark World Monster's effect. It's current up to Elemental Energy. so any questions on Sets or Cards not yet released are speculation at best.

where can i find this detailed list? coz i want to know if Cybernetic Magician will be uber with the dark world or not...

Thanks for these post! One of the guys that duels with me was doing that: discarding Goldd and Silver (dark world) to ritual summons, and then special summoning them to the field, and he was doing it too for the dark emperor effect too. I doubted of this "strategy" and begun to search for answers. Thanks again!

Tribute is a cost for summoning...if it doesn't say "discard" then DW monsters cannot be special summoned.
