Does anyone know the rulings for DD assailant. People are trying to tell me that she can only remove a monster when it has been att by your opponanat. So if you opponant had BLS on the field, you cant att and remove like you can with DDWL. I also understand that she can only remove if she was destroyed in battle. I cannot find any rulings on netrep. Please help.

"When this card is destroyed as a result of battle with your opponent's monster, remove from play both this card and the opponent's monster that destroyed this card."

Yes, you can 'suicide' this monster into another monster AND use it's effect to remove both monsters from play. The 'suicide' is still destroying this monster as a result of battle with the opponent's monster.

The other thing to note, and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, this card differs from "D. D. Warrior Lady" in the fact that this card's effect is MANDATORY. It's not optional. The "Lady"s effect is optional.

Hope this helps.

well if the card says that its effect works on the monster its fighting then obviously it targets the monster it is fighting. if it says anything specifically designating a monster then it can safely be assumed that its targetting.

Things like monster with highest something or lowest something or all monsters in a certain position dont target. Things that say monster(s) dont target. that should help a little

How can you tell if an effect targets or not? Some cards are quite clear in explaining their effect like Sakuretsu Armor, however, D.D Assailant isn't very clear, is there anything I can look for on card descriptions so I can avoid asking questions like this in future?

A simple way of putting it is, "when you have to select a monster", that implies a targetting effect in most cases at least.
