Building the Red-Eyes Deck: Deck Builder Series #2
Most look at Red-Eyes B. Dragon as a waste of time. Well here at Deck Builders we are going to smash that theory.
Let's begin!
Red-Eyes Black Dragon has plenty of support cards in Dragons as well as for itself. Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon has a boost effect to make it a tough monster to defeat in battle by boosting its ATK by 300 for each of its fallen Dragon comrades in the Graveyard. Red-Eyes Black Chick helps make Red-Eyes B. Dragon easier to summon by sacrificing itself for a Special Summon. Inferno Fire Blast is a great direct damage card that inflicts 2400 damage to your opponent at the cost of not being able to attack with Red-Eye B. Dragon. And then the dragon support cards like Stamping Destruction that can cause 500 Damage to your opponent for destroying thier Call of The Haunted or Royal Decree, or Dragon's Rage which give all Dragons the piercing ability. Let's Build the Deck
Red-Eyes B. Dragon x3
This is the heart of the deck. It is our main focus, so adding three is no big deal.
Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon x2
It is up for debate about adding 2 Red-Eyes Darkness Dragons in to a deck with the Nomi-Effect. But a spell card we are adding in later will work around that. I'm adding two because this is where the power of this deck is ultimately at.
Red-Eyes B. Chick x2
This card makes it easier to get Red-Eyes B. Dragon out. With dragon supports that can get this card out quicker, adding two is not a bad thing.
Masked Dragon x3
Here is a great Dragon searcher. It can get Red-Eyes B. Chick out in a flash. There is a drawback to this though, the Masked Dragon must be destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the graveyard. This isn't hard to do if you play it just right, but watch your Life Points.
Twin-Headed Behemoth x1
Here is another great card to pull out with Masked Dragon. It's effect is when it is destroyed (regardless how) during the same End Phase it comes back on the field as a ATK1000/DEF1000. Good for Tribute fodder and a defense. Adding one is always feasible.
Spear Dragon x3
Here is a great and classic 1900 ATK piercer. Great against those pesky Spirit Reapers. The Drawback is after it attacks it goes into defence mode until your next turn, and with it's 0 DEF can cause a problem for you if your opponent runs piercing monsters as well. Even with this drawback in mind adding 3 seems to fit the theme
Breaker the Magical Warrior x1
As I said in my last issue, Spell and Trap Removal is essential to success. That's why adding a Breaker into any deck is helpful regardless of theme.
Exiled Force x2
Monster removal is always good too. with many decks running high ATK quick summons, a well placed Exiled can always be helpful.
Luster Dragon #1 x3
A Normal Monster with 1900 ATK. Field Presence is always a good thing.
That gives us 20 Monsters.
Red-Eyes B. Dragon x3
Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon x2
Red-Eyes B. Chick x2
Masked Dragon x3
Twin-Headed Behemoth x1
Spear Dragon x3
Breaker the Magical Warrior x1
Exiled Force x2
Luster Dragon #1 x3
Onward to Spells
Smashing Ground x2
Monster removal is also key to victory and usually the higher defence monsters are also the higher attack monsters. Adding two is a good idea for this deck.
Lightning Vortex x2
This card helps clear the field of monsters for an attack while helping you get that Red-Eyes B. Dragon in the grave for Call of The Haunted or Premature Burial. Having one is good when you need the edge in a duel.
Monster Reincarnation x1
This is the card that will allow you to get back a Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon from the graveyard back to your hand as well place a Red-Eyes B. Dragon in the graveyard for a Special Summon.
Inferno Fire Blast x2
2400 Damage, Can't Attack with Red-Eyes B. Dragon. So what...we will just Tribute the Red-Eyes B. Dragon for Darkness Dragon and attack that way. Having two is for the theme and direct damage.
Premature Burial x1
Special Summoning is the main principal of the game and the Red-Eyes Deck is no different. As always I believe Premature Burial is a card that should be in every deck much like Breaker the Magical Warrior.
Graceful Charity x1
Much like Premature Burial, this is another card that should be in every deck. Drawing is important to winning and this card can do just that.
Heavy Storm x1
Again another of those must have cards. Spell and Trap removal is vital.
Mystical Space Typhoon x1
A more focused Spell and Trap Removal. Essential to playing any deck, especially a Themed Deck.
Stamping Destruction x2
A Dragon Based Mystical Space Typhoon that also does 500 damage. Downside is that a Dragon-Type must be face up on your side of the field for it to work.
13 Spells to add into our deck today.
Smashing Ground x2
Lightning Vortex x2

Now there is really only one card in Traps that makes it special, Dragon's Rage.
Call of The Haunted x1
Special Summoning monsters is effective...what else can I say?
Torrential Tribute x1
The Trap Version of Dark Hole. Great to spring on those pesky Monarchs.
Ring of Destruction x1
Monster removal plus direct damage. Only drawback is you take direct damage as well.
Mirror Force x1
Facing down an army of your opponent's monsters? Spring out this trap and watch them all go bye-bye!
Dragon's Rage x1
A trap to give all your dragons a piercing effect. It's Spirit Reaper's Worst Nightmare: A Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon that is powered up by a good 7 or more Dragons and this out. Ouch!
Waboku x1
This a great card to help keep that Red-Eyes B. Chick out on the field for a turn longer and you take no Battle Damage.
Magic Cylinder x1
Direct Damage plus Attack Negation. I like it already!
7 Traps, not bad for any deck
Call of The Haunted x1
