this is the first time that i run a demise deck and use any ritual monsters.
my question is about demise's effect. can you activate his effect anytime when he is on the field?
im saying when he is ritual summoned first and you use his effect can you use it again on your next turn?

Demise's effect isn't only when it is Ritual Summoned. His effect can be activated any time during Main Phase 1 or 2 as long as you pay the 2000 LP cost. You can use the effect during your next turn as well, again, paying the 2000 LP cost.

Just keep in mind that in order to be able to activate his effect, there must be at least one other card on the field that will be destroyed by his effect. You cannot simply activate it just to take the 2000 LP hit.

Demise's effect isn't even when it is Ritual Summoned. It's an Ignition effect, which you activate at any appropriate time, as often as you want (or even not at all). It's just that anyone using it tends to use its effect straight away when it's Summoned.

If you looked at the first posting, the author stated that he felt Demise's effect triggered when it was first Ritual Summoned. I know it's an ignition effect and as I stated, can be used anytime during Main Phase 1 or Main Phase 2, which, coincidentally, is the appropriate timing for Demise's effect.

I know, but I don't think you made it clear that it's an Ignition Effect only. Hence my correction to what you said. I know you know what you're going on about, but wording can be a bastich sometimes.
