Demise

I have two questions about Demise, King of Armageddon.

1. Do I have to tribute monster(s) whose stars equal exactly 8 stars, or can I tribute monsters whose star levels alone or combined equal more than 8?

2. Why does Demise stay on the field if a card chained to his effect flips him face down but Levia-Dragon Daedalus does not. I checked the rulings website and both have the same wording in essence but different rulings.

Id say tributing more stars is fine. It works for everyone else why not for him and his queen.

As for not being destroyed...... It should go like levia but its konami so they can say and do what they like and thats why he stays.

1. You must tribute EXACTLY 8-Star's worth of monsters, no more, no less. The Ritual Card, End of the World, states this already.

2. Chances are, Demise and Levia will more than likely be ruled identical in the future. But for now, the effect does not work the same, and the only way you would know this is to read the ruling.

I posted the "Demise"/"Levia" issue to the Judge's List last week. We'll see how long it takes for a response back.
