Destiny hero - Plasma with Jinzo

if i have a Destiny hero - Plasma and i take in a face up Jinzo will it still have it's effect

i was thinking it might because it states " as long as this card remains face-up on the field" and Plasma keeps him face up on the field but in the spell and trap zone

Nope, Monster effects only work while the card is still a Monster. When Destiny Hero - Plasma takes control of Jinzo, he becomes an generic Equip Spell Card with no effect.

Monsters will never retain any effect they have as Monster Cards when transformed into Equips Spells. This also true for Monster's snatched with Relinquished, Thousand Eyes Restrict or the effect of Union Monsters (and even Union's have to have special text that allows them to transform themselves back to Monster Cards, otherwise they would have no abilities).
