DIVINE WRAITH versus LAVA GOLEM

If your opponent had divine wraith set down on the field, and you summoned Lava golem to there side of the field, would they be able to flip it to destroy it?

When the effect activates to inflict 1000 Damage, that CAN be Divine Wrathed though.

I know that one all too well. A couple days ago my opponent summoned "Lava Golem" to my field, and on my turn I "Divine Wrath" it, and then throw down "Voltanis the Adjudicator" and served up a royal woopin to his chain strike'in butt.
