divine wrath vs airknight

the main question is,
is airknights effect continuous? if yes, than the Divine wrath vs airknight questions never will come up, but if not, what we do than?

for example airknight will make 500 points of damage, because he attacked an monster that was in def posi. with 1400DEF.... now i activate my divine wrath to destroy the airknight, my opponent will not draw a card, damage to my lp is still applied and my monster is destroyed. is that right?

Airknight Parshath i believe is a trigger effect, since his effect activates during the Damage Step upon inflicting damage to the opponent. this is where it triggers so the Player who inflicted damage on the opponent may draw one card. this is where it activates and Divine Wrath may be played to destroy Airknight Parshath.

Airknights effect can be chained to by Null and Void therefor its not Continuous. (the drawing effect at least, the Def Battle Damage effect is continuous)

Yup... had this happen today in fact... when the opponent went to draw a card, I flipped "Divine Wrath" and tossed Airknight to the Graveyard...

So yes, that part is chainable.

As for the other part... is it really continuous? Because the card text says "When this monster attacks with an ATK higher than the DEF..." that to me looks more like a Trigger Condition rather than a Continuous one. And we all know what we can do to Trigger effects...

I'm thinking about the same with about "D. D. Warrior Lady" because that says "When this monster... " was well... basically stating a condition to be triggered.

The "trample" effect is continuous, and simply ignores the 0 Battle Damage of a defense position monster.

Its simply saying: "While this monster is attacking a defence position monster with a lower DEF than the ATK of this monster, apply battle damage as normal to your opponent's Life Points."

Templeting unfortunately is not perfect in this game, generally the term "when" would indicate a trigger effect, in this case the proper word should be "while" making it clear that it is indeed continuous. Additionally, there are many continuous effects that resemble triggers functionally, but do not use the chain, this is one of them.

You can chain "Divine Wrath" to "Dark Necrofear"'s effect that brings her back to the field as an equip card. If you do that then "Dark Necrofear" will stay in the graveyard and not come back to the field (unless you can reborn her).
