As a general rule, I hate advertisements. Particularly when they just don't gel with the look of the forum, or when they overwhelm the forum with unrelated and gaudy content. I also dislike they way some ads, Google Ads for one, conflict with basic and often-used features, such as hitting the back button. (Just visit www.imdb.com and you'll see what I mean.)

With that said, I don't have a problem with a forum trying to generate some revenue. Especially when administration is such a time consuming and often mentally straining job. I also think making resources available to your users, whether they be content or paid product, is a important way to make your forum successful. Giving people multiple and easily accessible options creates a sense of convenience for users, giving them a reason to stick around.

For these reasons I've opened up an entirely new shop in the World Bazaar section of our forums. DJ's Comics & Cards is something that's no City should be without; a comic shop. Here I've made available items from Yu-Gi-Oh!, The Vs. System, Magic: The Gathering, UFS, and World of Warcraft. In addition, you can browse a selection of TCG supplies like Sleeves, Binders and Deck Boxes, as well as an assortment of DVD's and Video Games.

I'll be working on the shop little by little, trying to make it easier to sort through. I'll be adding more comics and more categories, and hopefully I can come up with a more sensible sort order, as it's just a bit random at the moment.

So please have a look, see if there's anything you like, and know that any purchase you make directly though our store helps contribute to the continued operation of this site. I hope you like this particular addition addition to the City of Gamers and give some feedback to let me know how to make it better. You can find the card shop towards the top of the forum home page, or you can click here.

By the way, the Shop is separate from the CoG Online Store, which is also still open and will be updated shortly with some new content. Stay tuned to the Gazette for more info.
