DMOC vs: Interdimentional and DMOC's effect

According to the card text unless it has been changed due to card eratta. This card says:

Interdimensional Matter Transporter
Trap Card
DCR-052

Select one face up monster on your side of the field and remove it from play until the End Phase of the turn this card is activated.

Question: is that cards effect considered special summoned? Is it possible to get an additional magic card? Most likely not, since it says when it is successfully normal or special summoned add one magic card from your graveyard and put it in your hand. (DMOC's effect is from memory only) But, anyway can I do that or not? I don't think I can, but it's always funny to find new ways to frustrate people>lol

Someone I think your still online but this is for all, anyone help me out if you can....

You arent "Summoning" any monster removed from the effect of Interdimensional Matter Transporter. It has already been summoned and is just removed from play until your End Phase of that turn.

Its effect works the same as if you removed 2 Dark Monsters from play to activate "Strike Ninja's" effect.

Since Dark Magician of Chaos is not Summoned by the effect of Interdimensional Matter Transporter, he would not be eligible to return a Spell Card to your hand from the Graveyard.

I figured but wouldn't it be fun if you could>lol Thanx anyway man; I kinda figured you couldn't since that doesn't say on the card that you are special summoning it back. It's just like a strike ninja your right.

much appreciated!

From the FAQ:

"¢ When "Dark Magician of Chaos" is removed from play by "Interdimensional Matter Transporter", it is removed from play but will return to play as normal due to "Interdimensional Matter Transporter"'s effect.

man, this reminds me of when i used to have DMOC and i didnt like it, like it looked nice, but i saw way to many defects on the little guy.

oh well goes to show, sometimes ugly things are more better looking than they seem. :D

i beg to differ

dark magician of chaos is a very powerfull monster with 2 awesome efcts

the combo involving DMOC+ painfull choice + monster reborn is enough for a "one turn kill " deck

this is why DMOC was restricted to 1 ; this indeed reduce its playability in actual metagame

to answer the question return the monster to the field due the efct of "interdimensional matter trasnport" is not considered a sumon

so it will not triguer the efct of DMOC

not it will triguer the RFG efct of DMOC since when "interdimensional matter transport" resolves it is no longer targeting DMOC

considering you have the right cards yea, but by the time i started playing the only Ultra rare i had was don zaloog and hence did the same thing i did for DMOC, lol, now i regreat trading off DZ but i got an alternate version which is Cliff which helps me a bit more than don sometimes.

DMOC for me was like, okay itll get killed easily and ill end up with nothing, not to mention tributing 2 monsters ( at the time cost down wasnt released)

the only form of reborn i had was Monster reborn, by this point in standards i have both call and premature, so yea now i regreat tradings it, but at the same time im glad i did becasue i got alot of stuff i needed for my deck.

i was running a mediocre Toon deck when i first started. and that was ways before the ban list was ever thought up of. Hell DCR had just berely been released and i was exited i got an Archfiend Soldier. lol

now i could care less for the beatsticks. :)

heck just take a look at my deck in the deck depot, i only have 1 1900 hitter and most of the time i dont even use her as a 1900 hitter but more bait for Chaos sorcerer. :)

finally i got my hands on Torrential and Vlord. lol

i bet yall be like man how sad. lmao!

Dark Magician of Chaos came out after Cost Down, but if you were running a Toon deck, it probably wouldn't have been all that helpful anyway. o.o;

no kidding, I only really tried changing up my deck when i was exited about going to regionals

thats when i got DMOC aswell as Cylinders and Ring.

considering all the mess i have now to what i had then, man i sucked.
