DNA Transplant/Backfire

this has been bugging me for a while, and I was never clear on it.

If I use DNA Transplant to turn every monster on the field fire, and say I have a Dark Magician or something on my field. It's not fire. When it's destoryed and sent to the graveyard, if Backfire is active on my field would the opponent take 500 from Dark Magician going to the graveyard? Or does DNA Transplant's effect stop when Dark Magician leaves the field, and he hits the graveyard sans fire attribute?

From the FAQ:
If a monster is FIRE because it is equipped with "Scroll of Bewitchment", you cannot activate "Backfire"'s effect when it is sent to the Graveyard because it is no longer equipped when it arrives in the Graveyard.

Which is intereseting considering Ultimate Basebal Kids second effect allows just the opposite:
You can send monsters to the Graveyard for "Ultimate Baseball Kid"'s second effect that have been changed to FIRE Attribute by "DNA Transplant" or "Scroll of Bewitchment".

Yeah, but I believe it's already been established that since tokens don't hit the Graveyard that combo doesn't work. It's different from Cannon Soldier's effect. I started a thread on this once before. Too bad really.

Well, the difference between Backfire and Ultimate Baseball Kid is that UBK doesn't care if it is a FIRE monster when it hits the Graveyard, only when it is sent to the Graveyard. Backfire requires the monster to be a FIRE monster when it is inside the Graveyard after destruction, sending to the graveyard, etc.
My question, just to make sure is, if a FIRE Attribute monster (i.e. Solar Flare Dragon) is equipped with Scroll of Bewitchment, making it, I dunno, a LIGHT Attribute monster, then will Backfire activate and deal 500 damage? I think it would, but I would like to make sure.

Yes, Scroll of Bewitchment is no longer attached to it's target when it hits the graveyard, so Backfire will deal 500 points of damage.
