does Chiron the Mage get priority

Turn player summon Chiron, he use Chiron effect. discarded 5 magic, destroyed all opponent's magic/trap field. one of the trap Chiron destroyed was bottomless trap hole. Now my question is... does chiron (the turn player) get his priority first and destroy all traps or can those trap be chained to chiron like torrential tribute.

You can't use his effect FIVE times in one turn. Read his effect text again CAREFULLY.

You can only destroy one spell or trap unless you remove him from play and return him to the field, or, flip him face-down and face-up again. I doubt you can do that enough to remove 5 cards, and if you did, you would have had to have pulled off one of the best moves in Yugioh!!!!

Meh. Nah. I'd let my opponent discard five times if they really wanted to as they'd be losing a lot of hand advantage :)

But this is correct. Since the turn player has priority and the turn player summoned it, the turn player is allowed to declare that they are using their priority.

And besides, even if the effect could be used more than once per turn (Think tribe infecting virus) then the turn player may still only activate the effect once before his/her opponent chains. This is because: a) Ignition effects are spell speed one, and such effects are unable to chain to others and b) Activating an effect passes priotiy to your opponent, allowing them to be the next chain link if they wish.

You sort of stated it in your post but sort of didn't so just to be sure, Chiron doesn't get priority the controller of Chiron gets priority as the turn player.

And yeah you can use Chiron the Mage's effect first and then your opponent can chain Bottomless Trap Hole. But double check his text: "Discard 1 Spell Card from your hand. Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field. This effect can only be used once per turn."

I could've swear I saw someone use Chiron effect 5 times in a row... LOL ..

anyhow, the important thing has been answered.
It's quite possible you did. Reminds me of back when I first started the game and I saw someone not pay for Archfiends. :p
