Hello again and welcome to my humble article. This time I'm gonna discuss the different species of monsters.Just like in magic, monster species have different thingies exclusive to there type.
beast
strengths:they have the trample ability which means if they can get there damage in fast and hard. they also have many high powered monsters that can serve as beaststicks as they're called.
weakness:they have no monsters that can beat the Cyber Dragon except for lei lei[i couldn't think of any weaknesses].
fiend
strengths:they can negate a lot of stuff[expecially monster effects] and have some big support in the form of dark world and archfiend monsters.
weakness:some cards that can get your big effects need you to sac cards or play others first[Terrorking Archfiend, Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World]
warrior
strengths:very searchable,can rebound fast, has a lot of rfg power in the form of the d.d. monsters[d.d warrior lady,d.d assailant,d.d warrior].
weakness:can go through rescouces fast
spellcasters
strengths:strive off of spell cards,2nd best searchability,gravekeepers can swarm very effeciently.
weaknesses:need a lot of tributes to run ok.
rock
strenghs:can return stuff fast, has some nice def monsters, and packs a punch with Master Monk and Megarock Dragon.
weaknesses:you need to put yoursellf in a dangourous position to win.
winged beast
strengths:they can alter atk and def very easily and can swarm somewhat with harpy lady,and have some nice m/t removal.
weakness: need to get the right cards at the right time.
insect
strengths: can strive on killing there own, the masters of stall with DNA Surgery and Insect Barrier.
weakness:can't rebound fast.
aqua,fish,and seaserpent[i'm grouping them]
strengths:can go under burn decks with A Legendary Ocean, and has some nice 1850's in there.
weakness:like the saying goes they're fish outta water if they don't have alo out.
machine
strengths:can be very good if built and played right.
weakness: need skill to master.
fairy
strenghts: master of lp manipulation.
weakness:same as the water guys they need there field card sanctuary in the sky to win.
dinosaur,reptile[also grouping them]
strengths:they can exploit huge dinos with ultra evoulution pill.
weakness: need some patience and skill to use,and they can be weak till the pill is played.
dragon
strength: support out the wazoo, and good support at that,and they can swarm like crazy.
weakness:bad hand manegent and overextending are problems here.
