Duelist Pack - Yugi

The man-boy who would be king...

Okay, the man-boy who actually was king of an actual kingdom, who's final destiny was to be king of a child's card game. So, lets see, that's one who died at the age of 18, one who died while being crushed by millions of tons of sea water, and one who spent the afterlife stuck in the subconsciousness of a vertically-challenged Japanese teenager. And a nerd-boy at that. Suffice it to say, being a pharaoh sucks.

But fortunately for us, being a nerd doesn't. And the man-boy-king-nerd who kicked off all these shenanigans will get his own Duelist Pack in the same manner as all the GX and 5D's cats before him:

Konami seems to be holding true to form and making the Tournament Legal the same date as release. July 7th, for the US, at least.

Yugi's pack is also reported to include variant artwork for some well known and liked (if not playable) TCG characters, including Dark Paladin, Dark Magician Girl and Summoned Skull, and some goodies in the form of reprints of Sorcerer of Dark Magic and Mirror Force. Because we all need a Mirror Force in our deck. Really.

Here's a couple of samples of the likely variant art we'll see out of the new pack. Can I be sure? Well, it's like I always say. If it's written down on the internet, it MUST be true.

No word yet on what new stuff from the OCG should be ported over, if any. Some other reprints we should see in the pack include the Red, Green and Yellow Gadgets as well as Kirb--er I mean, Marshmallon!
