Greets all,

I'm taking dibs on all of the "duplicate" cards that count towards the 3 count limit when building a deck. I can only think of two off the top of my head.

Umi Series: Umi, A Legendary Ocean
Harpie Series: Harpie Lady, Harpie Lady 1, Harpie Lady 2, Harpie Lady 3, Cyber Harpie Lady

Are there any more that I'm missing. I'm thinking there is one more, but it eludes me.

Doesn't Umi and A Legendary Ocean include Aqua Maiden as well?

I assume you meant Maiden of the Aqua. And no, she doesn't count. Her effect makes the field count as "Umi" when she's on it, that's all. Her name isn't treated as "Umi".

Which is correct, he refers two duplicates as to be treated as another card...

I can't think of any other case...

And in the cases of Dark Assasin/Dark Assailant and After Genocide/After the Struggle, those are cards who's tittle's were simply erratad but are, in actuallity, the same card. Wheras the Harpie Lady Series and Umi/A Legendary Ocean are "treated" as the same cards due to a card(s) effect.

Since where on the subject, could someone please explain to me what's going on with Luster Dragon #2. The situation has always been poorly explained to me in the past. All I know is there was a misprint.

First, there was SC Emerald Dragon, dubbed Luster Dragon in LoD.

Then, there was 303 Sapphire Dragon, printed as Luster Dragon in MFC.

Then, UDE released the errata that said the Blue Luster Dragon would be Luster Dragon #2.

Then, Kaiba Evolution Deck came out, and had blue Luster Dragon and green Luster Dragon #2.

Then, UDE released the errata that its errata was wrong, and Green Luster Dragon would be dubbed Luster Dragon #2.

All this o'er a few copyright laws. For shame.

I find it all silly and pointless. After all, White Luster Dragon/Diamond Dragon was already named Hyozanryu.

Oh, by the way, only ALO and Harpie Lady have special namesakes.

Luster Dragon (#1) comes out first with no Tribute. Luster Dragon #2 comes out second by offering the first as a Tribute (for example). The one with the smaller number has the smaller ATK and Level. That's how I remember it.
