Ectoplasmer and Des Wombat

Simple enough question, I'm just double checking.

If you had a Des Wombat face-up on the field when your opponent had to tribute their creature for Ectoplasmer, you'd take no damage from it, right?

Because I've had this little idea I wanted to put together....

Curse of Darkness
Chain Burst
Ectoplasmer*
Destruction Ring*
Granadora

* Just make sure you don't pick Des Wombat or you're taking the damage, too.

That's all I can think of for right now.


And make sure you read Chain Energy's effect on the card list. It does not do damage; it specifically states that you PAY Life Points. Much different than taking damage.

The Immortal of Thunder does not inflict damage, its owner simply "loses" life points without taking damage. Des Wombat cannot prevent that loss.
