ectoplasmer questions

1) If I have 3 ecto on the field, can I tribute 3 monsters?
2) Is ecto's effect a must? I mean does a player have to tribute a monster every end phase of the turn player?
3) If I use mind control on my opponent's monster and I have no monster on the field while ecto is active on the on the field, can I tribute my opponent's monster for ecto, if ecto's effect is a must?

1)If you have 3 Ectoplasmer on the field, you must Tribute 3 monsters if possible during your End Phase (at different intervals).
2) Ectoplasmer's effect is mandatory. If you are the Turn Player, you must Tribute one of your monsters.
3) Yes. Resolve Ectoplasmer's effect before Mind Control to do this. You could also let Mind Control resolve (giving control back to the opponent) and Ectoplasmer's effect will do nothing this turn.

1) Yes you have to tribute 3 monsters (if you have of course).
2) The effect of "Ectoplasmer" is a must.
3) You can choose which effect to activate first : "Ectoplasmer" or "Mind Control". So you can tribute the monster for "Ectoplasmer", or give him back tributing nothing (I should choose to tribute him).

You can't tribute the monster that "Mind Control" took control of. Mind Control does not allow any tributes at all.
