If I'm not mistaken, I think he's asking if he can summon a monster through Last Will's effect at any phase he chooses. If that's the case, then no. When Last Will resolves it creates a conditional trigger on your side of the field, and at the moment one of your monsters goes to your Graveyard (even if during the Battle Phase) you Special Summon a monster through it's effect.

However, it doesn't matter at what Phase the monster dies (even if during the End Phase) Last Will's effect will trigger.

When Last Will resolves it creates a conditional trigger on your side of the field, and at the moment one of your monsters goes to your Graveyard (even if during the Battle Phase) you Special Summon a monster through it's effect.

Though basically true we have to be careful here. It's not necessarily "At the moment one of your monsters goes to your graveyard" Last Will might very well start a new chain after the current chain resolves. Of course we can't interupt a tribute summon either, so after a monster is tributed and the tribute monster summoned you may use Last Will's effect to special summon at that time.

True enough. I sometimes respond to Questions with the assumption that this is the only card being played and then forget about what would happen (and how that situation would differ) in a chain.

Well the "moment" or in otherwords the "event" is what Triggers Last Will, but when you add it to the chain is a different story. You might have to wait for the first avaliable opportunity.
