Enervating Mist and Infinite Cards

Glittersword

I don't talk much.
I read the ruling on enervating mist that says whichever is played last is dominent, but I need one point cleared up for me. If the mist is played last does it totally dominate or just partially. The reason I am asking is one card effects both players and the other card just effects your opponent. For my purpose either way will work. I need to know though if I will need to discard down to six cards.

What I want to do is activate Infinite cards (Let hands build a bit) later on activate Enervating mist and chain with Magical thorns on the opponent's end phase.

if the max is 5 cards in hand they have to drop till they have 4 cards in hand at the end phase.

the reason i mention this is because the max amount normally is 7 and if we have 7 at the end phase we need to drop to 6. :D

wasnt too sure about it, but insticts tell me it works like that.

There is no limit in how many cards you have in hands. You have to end your turn with 6 cards or less, that's all. With Enervating Mist, you can't have more than 5 cards at any time. You don't have to drop to 4 at the End Phase.

Technically speaking the hand size limit is indeed 6. But only at the End Phase is this checked for. I didn't catch KrazyKid's comment, though.

The hand size limit is not 7, its 6. This why you have to drop to 6 at the End Phase. With Enervating Mist you drop to 5 and thats all.

but the text reads,

"Your opponent's hand size limit becomes 5. "

were else do we have a text that reads like that? in the Rule book, and it states that our hand size limit is 7 cards, which in the end phase we have to verify that we can stay in that amount, but during the turn we can have as many cards as we want.

if the case was cards during the turn then the text in the rule book would say, " You can have any number of cards in your hand, During your end phase you have to discard till you have 6 cards in hand"

but it doesnt now does it.

so, again, if anybody can give it a shot. how does it work.

Edit:

hold on, i found this on the yugi card site.

F. End Phase
Announce the end of your turn. If your hand contains more than 6 cards, discard to the Graveyard until only 6 cards remain in your hand. The opposing player then begins his/her turn with the Draw Phase.

so preaty much, the limit is 6, and at end phase we can only have 6, i seriously thought and read someware in the rule books that it was 7.

damn it must be cause of the latenightness, but i swear i read someware that it was 7.

seriously.. im not kidding either
