Enraged Battle Ox IOC-EN070

As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, when Beast, Beast-Warrior and Winged Beast-Type monsters on your side of the field attack with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Rulings
  1. For "Enraged Battle Ox"'s effect to activate, the attacked monster must be in Defense Position during damage calculation. So if "Final Attack Orders" is active, "Enraged Battle Ox"'s effect will not be applied.
  2. [Re: Last Turn] The effect that reduces Battle Damage to zero applies only for the special Battle Phase, not for the normal Battle Phase. Example: A player activates "Last Turn" and selects their Defense Position "Spirit Reaper". The turn player Special Summons "Enraged Battle Ox" and attacks in the special Battle Phase, but no damage occurs. However, during the turn player's normal Battle Phase they can attack again, and will inflict 1500 points of damage due to the effect of "Enraged Battle Ox", so the opponent's Life Points will be zero and the turn player will win.
Well, I found like 3 minutes. So here's the review. This card, basically anti-Goats. Also, provides support crucial support for Beastdown deck, and for the ever popular Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys. Overall, a solid card to splash in most decks in today's meta.

Overall: 4/5

EDIT: I will NOT be able to do Gravekeeper's Spy/Guard today, I will catch up on it when I get the chance. The same applies to all other CotDs. Thank you,

ah, time for me to react! :)
i'm wondering for a long time now, why in the world, would
anyone, ever, use this card over Gyaku-Gire Panda???
let's compare:

gyaku:
1)rat-able
2)goes under Gravity Bind, level limit, even messenger if opponent
has 0-1 monsters
3)high defense (1600 will survive tribe,zaloog,Tsukuyomi,breaker
without counter...)
4)if opponent plays Scapegoat he is at 2800ATK,so anything
he summons will suffer great piercing damage
6)he's beast
7)earth
8)noone expects him
9)excelent against swarming
10)if opponent snatchs/Brain Controls him he does only 800 LP
of damage(if you have no other mons)
ox:
1)non rat-able
2)everything stops him :p
3)everything kills him (low 1000 DEF), but OK 1700 ATK
4)does 1700 to goats
5)beast warrior
7)earth
8)lots of decks main one
9) :(
10)you take 1700 :)

i would really like to hear why would anyone play ox over panda,
hell, panda is even a better topdeck!

A) Panda is very hard to find, a little easier after Dark Revelations, but it's still difficult

B) Panda is only guaranteed to be at 1300 when battling (if Skill Drain isn't active) Even Mad Sword Beast beats that, and Enraged Battle Ox beats Mad Sword Beast. Reliability is important in the game, and having a monster guaranteed to be 1700 can be easier.

C) Your opponent will side-deck out the Scape-goats in duels 2 and 3.

D) I tend to fetch Injection Fairy Lily with my Giant Rat instead.

E) 900 more damage when attacking directly.

lets not forget that it gives trample to all other beasts, winged beats, and beast warriors, so if you have a Berserk Gorilla with one of these standing next him and the field is full of tokens then you know you will get a 2k and 1700 hit on your opponent.

why would you use a panda when an ox can do a better job, and not to mention endangered of extinction.

all i'm saying they ARE IMO equal in reliability: they both can only
be outpowered by monsters with >1700 ATK (ox in attack,
gyaku in defense)

no they won't.if you play with gyaku you will see this.
Scapegoats are vital defense for Jinzo, and food for TER.
they probably won't play goats as often, but in my experience
(gyaku guru :) ) they will never sidedeck goats.it's just that
majority of players really doesn't know how to play w/o goats.

krazykidpsx: i agree to some point that ox is better(and vital) in
beastdowns, but many decks now use just 1 ox though they
don't have any beasts in deck.

i don't want to start a flame, just that people have always thought
ox > panda, though noone ever actually played with panda.
i played 2 oxes in my beastdown for a year,so i got xp there.
now i play 2 gyakus in my thestalos/zombie control and they
are just amazing.

oo i should flame you so bad for that. lol!

no, i dont flame people online (thinks about this for a moment) okay nope.

the panda is good to have for only a few turns, beyond that, its not like it wont be hard to get rid of.

its like saying, ox vs king tiger vs panda.

think about it, all have good effect and good attack (except for panda)

alone the panda is not that strong, opponent just needs a beat stick and its wasted and you take alot of damage.

i would much rather take 100-300 or even 700 than take a crudload of more.
