"Five God Dragon" Coming to the US

Dinosaur's Rage Special Set Exclusive Release

With Structure Deck 9, Dinosaur's Rage, releasing next month, information has been issued to hobby store retailers about a unique special edition release. The Dinosaur's Rage Special Set is an exclusive item that will be offered only through North American tournament stores and Wal-Mart. We've finally got decisive info on it!



The Special Set includes one complete copy of the newest item in the Structure Deck line, Dinosaur's Rage, as well as a booster pack of Power of the Duelist. In addition, each Special Set will include an Ultra-Rare foil copy of the brand new promo card, Five-Headed Dragon. This fusion monster has been on collectors' "want" list for ages. It's got a whopping 5000 ATK, and calls for the fusion of any five Dragon-type monsters to be brought into play. Dragon's Mirror anyone? I'd be lying if I told you I didn't already have a decklist written up . . .



The Dinosaur's Rage Special Set should be available in both hobby stores and Wal-Marts on approximately October 18th. The normal Dinosaur's Rage Structure Deck (which will be available everywhere) will be released on the 25th. That means that if you pick up the Special Set at your local hobby store, not only will you get an awesome new promo card and a Power of the Duelist pack in addition to your Structure, you'll also be getting it up to a week before the Dinosaur's Rage primary retail release.



As if Future Fusion didn't have enough abusable tactics already...

And for those who don't know the cards stats and such (this is a cleaned up translation)

F.G.D.
Fusion / Dragon / 12 Star / 5000 ATK / 5000 DEF
(Fusion of 5 Dragon Sub-Types)
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. This card does not receive battle damage from Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, and Dark Type Monsters. (Aka Only Light Types can hurt it).

So get 5 Dragons into the Graveyard and Dragon's Mirror them away. Fun...................
 
Ok, so I'm gonna get the Dinosaur's Rage structure (let's face it, the new stuff looks good and Dinos are just plain fun), get a common Magical Arm Shield, get a Five-Headed Dragon promo, and get an Ultimate Rare Chimeratech Overdragon from my POTD booster. Sounds like a good deal to me :D
 
I'm sure that's great news for you Americans. Here we Europeans and such are, missing out on yet another anticipated card. They messed up the name, though, so you can't claim total victory.

Who's guessing one of the other two supposed promos is going to be Dragon Master Knight?
 
BTW, I know this is from the special pack. So what happens AFTER the promo date goes away. I mean, they'll never sell the special Structure after that?

And darn, too bad you can't Metamorph/Cyber-Stein the Five God Dragon. If that was the case, say good-bye to BEUD. :p

But yeah, this will be a kickass monster for Dragons. It's effect pretty much means nothing, (Yeah, like your gunna do LP damage to a 5000ATK monster...) but a huge 5000ATK beatstick means something :p
 
The only question in my mind is, what are they REALLY going to call it? Five-Headed Cyber Dragon? Five-Headed Dragon? Divine Quintuplicate Dragon? My money is it will be something lame.

Why can't it be Five God Dragon?! I mean, hey, what was the name of this card in Yu-Gi-Oh TV show. I mean, this WAS one of the cards in the filler series where those 5 old guys try to take Kaiba Corp after Pegasus failed them to beat Kaiba and Yugi.

And like I said, if you miss the date, will this be on regular stores along with the regular structure?

And why is it coming out in a Dinosaur structure? I mean, it's a Dragon... (Not that I'm complaining that it's coming out)

Rex Raptor used to own a Red-Eyes B. Dragon. He also has a Serpent Night Dragon and a bunch of other Dragons in his Deck. Even later on he used Tyrant Dragon as his powerhouse.
 
Ancient Chinese writings tell us stories of digging up enormous bones of giant reptiles which could only mean one thing to them: Dragons. These findings solidified the dragon myths in ancient China for centuries. I believe it was not until the 19th century that dinosaurs were scientifically documented. So for a long, long time, people would have considered dinosaurs and dragons effectively the same thing.

Judging from the videogame, that's probably what they'll call it. Then again, Exchange of the Spirit is called Reversal of Graves. I'm sticking with F.G.D. seeing how we have Red Eyes B. Dragon, Lord of D., and all the Different Dimension monsters called D.D.
 
BTW, does F.G.D. have an Attribute... I don't think it even HAVE an attribute. (Or was it a Dark Attribute?)
