i think i get it but i wont to make 100% sure

i have Five-Headed Dragon on my side of the field, my opponent has a non light monster over 5000 lets, say 5100, i will take 100 damage to my life points

or i'm i wrong and i don't take any?

You are correct, and Five-Headed Dragon would not be destroyed.
