Flip Summons

Is it possible, at any time, to Flip Summon a Fusion Monster? Could a card like Book of Moon flip a Fusion Monster face-down, then, when approriate, could that same monster be Flip Summoned later on?

well, i think a fusion monster can be flipped face down, but the only way how u can flip it face down is if u fusion summon or special summon the monster in defense mode because if u use Book of Moon on a monster in ATK position, its not going 2 work, because u can't flip an ATK mode monster f/d into def.


so i think u can do tat

Sorry, but I must disagree on this. Fusion Monsters are special summoned in face-up ATK pos or face-up DEF pos.

Book of Moon will flip targeted monster into face-down DEF pos.

That doesn't answer my question. Can, at any time, a Fusion Monster ever be flipped summoned after it has been flipped face-down into defense position by a card effect like Book of Moon?

In addition, it is a common tactic to Book of Moon a fusion monster special summoned by Magical Scientist so that the fusion monster will remain on the field and can be flip summoned on your next turn.

You can flip summon a monster during your Main Phase 1 or 2 only, provided the following are all true:

1) The monster was not set that turn.
2) Then monster's battle position have not change yet due to manual change or other card effect.

1) The monster was not summoned or set that turn. (For example you cannot Special Summon BLS-Envoy in defense position, use his remove effect, Book of Moon him, then Flip Summon him and attack. Although you can activate the removal effect of a BLS-Envoy summoned in a previous turn that is in defense position, Book of Moon him, then Flip Summon him and attack.)
